Tactacam Tuesday 🦌

Late summer brought a lot of traffic past the cameras. Two bull elk still in velvet stopped at the stock tank at first light, a heavy-framed muley buck came through the pines just before dark, and a pair of velvet bucks were feeding together on an August morning. By early September, a group of mule deer was making regular trips to water.

Good grass, reliable water, and timber for cover. That’s what keeps wildlife coming back.

A fence-line camera on one property, from August to September. We caught a buck at breakfast, coyotes after dark, livestock pushing the fence, and the coyotes back again at sunup.
