Well, I’m pretty sure I ate my weight in barbecue this past weekend, and no regrets! 🥩🔥

I spent the weekend out in Hondo (near San Antonio) at Al Frugoni’s Texas Open Fire Meat Up, and it was unbelievable.

The coolest part was the international competition with pitmasters from Argentina, Brazil, Canada, Israel, the UK, Nigeria, Uruguay, Venezuela, Peru, and beyond. But the real showstopper was Team Israel—competing for the very first time, they took home 1st Place internationally and 3rd in People’s Choice for their amazing wagu schwarma!

So fun cheering them on and tasting everything along the way. My stomach is still recovering, but what a great weekend! 🪵🍖🤠🇮🇱✨

Out on the morning route with Betsy, officially giving this weighted vest trend a spin.

I was skeptical at first, but if I’m already out getting my steps in with the dog anyway, I figure I might as well get a little extra work in while I'm at it. Betsy doesn't seem to care about the extra weight—she's just pleased I'm keeping up with her pace for once, and that allows her to stop and sniff every blade of grass out there.

Turns out the neighborhood trend-chasers might actually be onto something here. I started with the 8lb vest but think it's time to bump it up to 12lbs and see how things go! Have you tried??

Walked Betsy past the new build down the street today, and the progress is swift.

They just got the basement dug out, foundation set, and the main structure framed up practically overnight. One week it's an empty lot with a giant pile of dirt, and the next you can actually see the house taking shape.

Always fun watching a project like this come together in the neighborhood!

I went to for the Persian food, but I’m pretty sure I spent ten minutes just admiring the bathroom. The peacock wallpaper alone deserves its own review.

Seriously, whoever picked these finishes deserves a raise. You walk in expecting a standard restroom and step straight into a luxury palace.

Our nanny started with us when my first was about 3 months old. She was with us for 7 years. It feels like just yesterday she was holding them both in her arms, helping us navigate the wild early years of parenting. Swipe to see them now—both of them towering over her and completely grown up, 21 years later.

We were beyond lucky to have her then, and even luckier that she’s still family to us today!!! 💕

How's your day going?? 🫠 Of all the ways to ruin your afternoon grocery run, this has got to be near the top. Hit one rogue dip in the parking lot and the whole carton just gave up the ghost right there in the cart. At least it missed my shoes. Looks like dinner's going to require a second trip back out, or maybe I just order pizza and call it a week.

It may be Labor Day, but summer isn't over for a while 🌻 Spotted these out and about today and had to grab a photo. The Black-Eyed Susans are out in full force, and the wildflower garden in peak late-summer form is so sweet.

There’s something great about seeing a flower garden where everything’s grown tall, wild, and completely taken over. Easily the best bright spot on the route today.

End of an era, and the start of a pretty great new chapter.

Watched the old building get completely leveled recently, which was a little surreal after all the hours spent in there. But after three long months of waiting, BBKA is officially reopening right across the street. What a fun grand reopening party a few weeks ago!

New space, same great community, and no more excuses to skip workout day. Huzzah! Who is ready to join me??
