Leaving the city for Bethesda, MD? This is what you're actually buying.
Most people start the search with square footage and bedroom count. What they end up loving is the stuff that never shows up in a listing: sidewalks that connect, a park you can walk to, a yard, and a Saturday that doesn't start with finding parking.
What should you look for in a Bethesda neighborhood? Walk it before you buy. Check whether the sidewalks run the full block, how far the nearest park or trail is on foot, and what's been torn down and rebuilt on the street in the last few years. That last one tells you where values are heading.
I'm a Bethesda real estate agent with a construction background, so I look at the house and the block. If you're trading city living for more room in Bethesda, Chevy Chase, Kensington, or Potomac, message the page "WALK" for my Bethesda Guide.
Thinking about a move like this? Message me to set up a private consultation — and tell me in the comments: sidewalks, park, or yard, which one is non-negotiable for you?
