Let's talk home inspection software for a second.
Over the past several years, I’ve put several major brands through the ringer. I spent my entire first year mostly on HomeGauge, but I quickly grew frustrated by the dated interface and the friction it caused my clients—they were forced to create an account just to view a report, only to get hit with automated marketing emails afterward. When the subscription fees jumped out of nowhere, I was out.
I tested a few alternatives: Spectora, Toolbelt, HIP etc. but nothing really clicked... until I found ScribeWare. I haven't looked back since.
The color coding, smooth workflow, massive library of pre-written diagnostics, complete customizability, built-in invoicing, AI integration, and a rock-solid mobile app set it apart. The development team is also incredibly responsive whenever questions pop up.
I can’t recommend ScribeWare enough to fellow inspectors. They offer both a pay-as-you-go model and monthly subscription options, plus the first few trial inspections are completely free.
Just another inspector sharing what works, no affiliation I promise 😂 give them a shot!
