After a few home tours, the details can start to run together.

Before you visit another home, write down three things: what you need, what you’d like and what you want to check in person. Bring the list along and note how the layout works, where you’d park and whether the outdoor space fits your plans. A few notes after each visit can make comparing homes much easier later.

Save this reminder for your next home tour.
