When evaluating a hunting property, what surrounds it can be just as important as what’s within it.

Neighboring timber, agricultural fields, water sources, and undeveloped acreage can influence wildlife movement, food availability, bedding areas and hunting pressure. Even access points and the way surrounding properties are managed can affect how wildlife uses your land.

A tract with more than one way to create value.

Just minutes from Dorena Lake, this ±40-acre timber tract offers a rare combination of merchantable timber and recreational potential. The property's location adjacent to government, industrial, and private ownership creates an opportunity to explore its potential beyond the timber itself.

A February 2026 Timber Cruise inventoried approximately 932 MBF of merchantable timber.

Offered by sealed bid auction.
Bids are due by 5:00 p.m., October 23, 2026.

Sometimes a new season can offer a new perspective.

Fall photography can reveal the character of a property’s open fields, timber, trails, water, and views. For landowners considering a sale, those details matter.

The right images can help buyers see not only what the property is today, but what it could become for them.

Every fall, the land reminds us that change is part of its rhythm. šŸ‚

As the days grow shorter and temperatures begin to cool, deciduous trees start preparing for winter.

Chlorophyll, the pigment that gives leaves their green color, breaks down as trees slow their production. As the green fades, other natural pigments that have been there all along begin to show through, revealing the familiar golds, oranges and reds of autumn.

What looks like a simple change in color is actually part of the forest's preparation for the season ahead.

Good farmland is about more than acreage. For agricultural landowners, the value of a property isn’t always found on a map. It’s in how the land functions:

🌱 Productive soils
šŸ’§ Reliable water
🌾 Useable pasture
🚧 Fencing and access
ā›°ļø Favorable topography
šŸ‚ And the ability to put the land to work

When evaluating agricultural property, understanding the land, its resources and its potential is just as important as knowing how many acres it contains.

Some seasons are meant to be savored. šŸƒ

The first day of fall brings cooler mornings, changing leaves, and a little more reason to slow down.

Take the long way home. Walk the property. Sit on the porch. Watch the seasons change around you.

Because one of the best things about owning land isn't always what you do with it.

Sometimes, it's simply having a place to sit back and enjoy it.
