🍂 Before September ends, give your home a quick FALL RESET! 🏡

We usually think of spring as the time to clean and organize, but September might actually be one of the BEST times to get your house back in order.

Kids are back in school, cooler weather is coming, and before we know it… Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas will all be here. 😅

Professional organizers recommend using this time to tackle a few things NOW so you’re not scrambling later:

👕 Clean out the closets — Put away summer clothes and donate anything you know you won’t wear again.

🧸 Declutter the kids’ rooms — Especially before another round of toys, clothes and gifts arrives during the holidays.

🔧 Organize the garage & storage areas** — Make sure your fall and winter tools and supplies are easy to find.

🥫 Reset the pantry — Toss expired food, organize snacks and put the things your family uses most within easy reach.

📚 Create a family “command center”** — One spot for calendars, school papers, keys, schedules and all the stuff that normally ends up scattered around the house.

🎃 Check your holiday decorations NOW — Test your lights and see what you already own BEFORE buying more. This one could actually save you some money!

🚪 Prepare the entryway for cooler weather — Make room for jackets, boots, umbrellas and all the extra stuff that starts coming through the door.

🧹 Get rid of the “piles.”

You know exactly what I'm talking about. 😂

That chair covered in clothes. The stack of mail on the counter. The stuff sitting by the stairs that's been “going upstairs” for three weeks...

Pick ONE pile today and get rid of it.

🏡 You bought the house… now how do you actually make it feel like HOME?

This is a part of homeownership that doesn’t get talked about enough.

After closing, it’s tempting to start ordering furniture, decorating every room and trying to make everything look “finished” as quickly as possible.

But that can get expensive FAST — especially when the couch that looked perfect online shows up and completely overwhelms the room. 😅

Here are a few smart tips before you start furnishing your home:

📏 Measure before you buy.
Use painter’s tape on the floor to outline the dimensions of a sofa, table or other large piece. It’s an easy way to see how much space it will actually take up.

🛋️ Design around how you LIVE — not just how it looks.
Kids? Pets? Like to put your feet up and relax? Your furniture and materials should work for your everyday life.

🎨 Work with what you already have.
Consider your flooring, cabinets, countertops, existing furniture and finishes before choosing new pieces so everything feels intentional.

💰 Be careful with expensive trends.
That bold sofa might look amazing on Instagram today, but major furniture purchases should ideally be pieces you’ll still love years from now.

🏠 You don’t have to furnish the entire house at once.

🌻 Black-Eyed Susans — Bright, drought-resistant & great for pollinators

🏡✨ Another Dream Turned Into Reality! ✨🏡

Today was one of those closings that reminds me exactly why I love what I do. 🙌🏼

When Tina first reached out to me, she had been through some tough experiences with other Realtors. She had been given false hope, felt let down, and had honestly started to believe homeownership just wasn’t going to happen for her.

I remember telling her one simple thing:

“If you’ll hang in there with me, trust the process, and do your part, I’ll do everything I can to make your goal happen by the end of next summer.”

And that’s exactly what she did.

🏡 📊 July 2026 Housing Market Update: Buyers Are Finally Seeing More Opportunities!

If you've been waiting for the "right time" to buy a home, July brought some encouraging news.

According to Zillow's latest market report:

✅ More homes are hitting the market.
✅ Buyers have more choices than they've had in quite some time.
✅ Lower-priced homes continue to sell the fastest.
✅ Monthly mortgage payments are slightly lower than they were this time last year thanks to improved interest rates.

So, what does this mean?

🔑 For Buyers: More inventory means more options, less competition on many homes, and better opportunities to negotiate.
