Before you turn on the heat for the first time this season, a few quick things to know.

A dusty smell for the first few minutes is normal. That’s built-up dust burning off after months of AC season, and it should fade fast. If it doesn’t, let us know.

Now is also a great time to swap your air filter. If you’re on our Resident Benefits Package, your filters are delivered right to your door, so check if a fresh one is waiting for you.

If the heat isn’t working right, submit a maintenance request through your resident portal so we can get it handled before the colder weeks. And if you ever smell gas, leave the home right away and call your gas company from outside.
