80% of homeowners regret something about their purchase. That’s from a Clever Real Estate survey of 1,000 owners, reported this week by Cara Ameer in Inman.
Her piece lays out how to prevent it, and the answer isn’t a gadget. It’s the agent.
Three things worth repeating: buyers need a real consultation up front, the inspection has to be thorough enough to bring in specialists before the window closes, and buyers have to understand what the defects will actually cost.
That third one is where deals wobble. A report tells a buyer what’s wrong. It doesn’t tell them what it costs to fix. That gap is where fear and guesswork live.
That’s the gap we price. Inspection findings become itemized repair quotes, so buyers and agents negotiate with real numbers, then vetted contractors do the work after closing.
Informed buyers make confident decisions. Link to the full Inman article in the comments.
