🏖️🐶 TAKING YOUR DOG TO THE BEACH? READ THIS FIRST! 🌊⚠️
The beach is paradise for them too, but it can get dangerous FAST if we're not careful! 👇
💧🚰 1. ALWAYS BRING FRESH WATER!
🌊❌ Salt water will make them super sick = vomiting 🤮, diarrhea, & severe dehydration!
➡️ Bring MORE than you think you need + a collapsible bowl 🥣
➡️ Offer it every 10-15 minutes ⏰
➡️ If they start drinking sea water, it's time for a break! 🛑
🏜️🐾 2. WATCH THE SAND!
Dogs don't mean to, but they swallow A LOT of sand when they grab wet toys, balls 🎾, and sticks!
⚠️ That can cause a life-threatening blockage in their tummy called sand impaction.
✅ Rinse toys CONSTANTLY
✅ Don't let them dig & lick at the same time
💨👃 3. THAT FINE SAND DUST? THEY BREATHE IT IN!
When it's windy 🌬️ + they're running and digging like crazy 🤪, they inhale fine sand & salt spray.
🤧 It irritates their lungs, nose, & eyes!
👉 If you see constant sneezing, coughing, reverse sneezing, or super heavy panting 😮💨 — move to shade and let them rest.
🔥🐾 4. HOT SAND BURNS!
If YOU can't hold your hand on the sand for 5 seconds ✋🔥, THEY can't walk on it! Try early morning or evening.
🚿👂 5. RINSE RIGHT AFTER!
Salt + sand = super itchy skin, hot spots, & nasty ear infections 😖
Give them a good fresh-water rinse as soon as you're done!
