Forget ghosts. Living in Burlington, I know exactly what the real horror story is😂

If you've ever dealt with getting stuck behind a tractor on a two-lane road on your way to Lake Geneva or I-94, you already know this deserves its own jump scare.

At this point, I'd probably take my chances with the haunted house.

What's the most terrifying accurate Burlington version of this?

There's a version of real estate where the goal is simply to get the deal done. But that's never been the version I'm interested in.

Sometimes protecting a client means saying the thing that slows everything down. It means pointing out the problem in the house they already love, pushing back on a price that doesn't make sense,or being the person who says, "I don't think this is the right move," when everyone else is ready to keep going.

My job isn't to protect the transaction. It's to protect the person making it.

And sometimes the most valuable thing I can do as your Burlington real estate agent is making sure you don't look back six months later and wish someone had been more honest with you.

Ask any mom what she wants in her next home and the mudroom comes up almost every time, especially in Wisconsin, where we go from snow boots to rain boots to soccer cleats in a single season. 😅

Here are 3 things I hear from Burlington moms when they're house hunting:

🧥 A landing spot. Hooks, a bench, and cubbies mean backpacks and coats have a home that isn't your kitchen floor.

👟 Room for all the shoes. Bonus points for built-in storage so you're not tripping over them.

🚪 An easy entry. A back door or garage entrance where everyone can drop the mess and keep moving.
