Where are the best trick-or-treating streets in Burbank? 🎃
Burbank has supplied Hollywood for nearly a century, and it shows every October. The costume, makeup and special-effects shops that serve the studios are open to the public, so Halloween here never really ends. Halloween Town on Magnolia has been open year-round for more than 20 years, and It’s a Wrap sells real movie and TV wardrobe.
Halloween lands on a Saturday this year, so expect bigger crowds and an earlier start. Here’s where locals go:
• Magnolia Park: flat, walkable blocks with houses close together
• Valleyheart Dr & Mariposa St: some of the biggest decorations in town
• Across from Verdugo Park: California to Fairview, between Clark and Magnolia
• Bel Aire Dr (Walnut to San Jose), N Pass Ave (Jeffries to Edison) and Evergreen St south of Victory
• The streets around Bret Harte Elementary
Yard haunts running this year: the Buena Vista Haunt, the Pumpkin Cemetery on N Ontario, Holiday Fantasies Come to Life on N Valley (Pirates of the Caribbean this year), and Rotten Apple 907 on N California, open Oct 24, 25, 30 and 31 only.
Heads up: Burbank’s famous clown house is closed this year, but it’s coming back next year with a new spooky maze.
My tips: start by 5:30 with little ones, park once and walk, and bring a flashlight for the darker side streets.
Save this for the 31st and send it to a friend who needs a plan.
