A charming mountain home in the Yonahlossee community less than 4 miles from Boone and Blowing Rock

It was a beautiful weekend. Views from the neighborhood and from The Blowing Rock were both amazing!

There are so many hidden treasures in the High Country! A short, steep drive up to Howard's K**b leads to a beautiful view of Boone, below!

The rhododendron are in full bloom on this beatiful holiday weekend in the high county! There is an adventure at every turn in the mountains, without even leaving the neighborhood. It was fun to explore the remains of Camp Yonahlossee and imagine all the history on this site.

We felt like we woke up in a cloud this morning, and left to snow! Even a short trip to the mountains is good for the soul.

So many great options for skiing this winter within 15 minutes from the house!

Thankful to be back. Spent our weekend making stops at some of our favorite places (Peddlin Pig, Kilwins) while also checking out some new ones (The Blowing Rock, Mexican Rock restaurant).

Friday we participated in the great work that Samaritan's Purse has been organizing across WNC. The devastation is heartbreaking, but the muscle present at every turn to rebuild this beautiful community is tremendous.

It's a beautiful weekend in the mountains! Sunshine between rain showers with highs in the 70s. Just beautiful!

Every weekend is a good weekend for a hike. We found a new trail to explore and are looking forward to getting even further next time!
