I love candles, and this is a great way to support a local business.

Our next vendor for the Big Wood Brewery's Holiday Market 2026 is 108 Candles !!

They create hand poured scented soy wax candles adorned with botanicals, room sprays, reed diffusers, bath bombs, and bath salts.

Stop in to check they out from 12-5pm on Nov 7th! Music starts at 6pm after the market!

Carmel apple season is here. So, here's my question. Carmel apples with or without nuts? I like mine "with."

Fridays just hit different, if you've got the weekend off, such as I have. But, here's a shout out to all of the people that work the weekends as normal regular workdays. Thank you so much for ensuring that the places I like to go, on the weekends, are able to be open. Much appreciated, all.

Happy "Hump Day." I can almost, but not quite, see the weekend, or at least Friday, from here. Are you going to any festivals anywhere, this weekend?

Happy Monday. Autumn or fall, whichever you choose to call it, is full of color as nature prepares for winter. The oranges, yellows, reds, tans of the leaves and plants, are just short of breathtaking. Brown County, IN, one of our neighboring counties, and especially the town of Nashville, IN, are great places for "leaf looking."

So, it's Friday, or as a former colleague of mine used to call it, "Fri-Yay!" What's your weekend plans? Our manager is in Florida this week, so he's obviously got a pretty good plan.
