Did you know that Time of Transfer Inspections are required by Iowa law?

Iowa's Time of Transfer (ToT) inspection law, established in Iowa Code 455B.172, requires that every home or building served by a private sewage disposal system (PSDS) have that system inspected prior to the sale or deed transfer of the home or building. All inspections must be conducted by an inspector that has been certified by the Iowa DNR.

What’s up my people! We’ve been busy as all get out this last month! Home inspections have been steady and we’ve been working on some cool new things to offer our customers. First things first, we now can perform thermal inspections along with your home inspection. Why thermal inspections you may ask? Imagine being able to see inside your walls, floors, and ceilings—catching problems that aren’t visible to the naked eye. That’s the magic of an infrared camera! These high-tech tools use thermal imaging to detect temperature differences, revealing hidden issues like water damage, electrical hotspots, and insulation gaps!

Next on the list of new things we now offer is a sewer scope inspection! This inspection helps identify issues like cracks, blockages, roots, and damage that can lead to backups and other problems. Early detection allows for timely repairs, saving you money and potential headaches. We perfrom this inspection as a stand alone inspection or you can bundle and save with your next home inspection!

The last thing on the list has to remain a secret for just a little while! 🫣 We’re gearing up to be able to perform a certain type of inspection that is a very important one! Stay tuned to find out what this one is!
