A couple of weeks ago, our last Live Baltimore Trolley Tour of 2026 was a success. It was the the last tour of the year and our first one as a partner of Live Baltimore

Future homebuyers ride a bus through different parts of the city and learn about the history, culture and opportunities in each neighborhood along the way. Then, they visit a resource fair to find about the various programs and incentives available to buyers in Charm City. We love being a part of it because we get to talk with people who believe in Baltimore and want to make it home.

Thank you, Live Baltimore , for having us this year and we hope to keep being a part of this. The work continues.

Last Saturday our current homebuyer cohort laced up for a hood hike. We walked the neighborhood where they’re about to put down roots and learned about its history and culture along the way. We also stopped by their homes. Some are finished and some are still under construction, but everyone got to stand in front of the place they’ll soon call theirs. 🏘️

Pastor Brandon O. McAfee, a Parity homebuyer and part of this cohort joined us for the walk which made the day extra special. His home and church (St. Jhon A.M.E in Baltimore) are blocks away and we had the opportunity to learn more about its history and importance. He is a testament to our mission-driven buyers and proof we don’t just build homes; we’re building a community. ⛪

We are excited and proud to have thesm get to know each other and their neighborhood. And we can’t wait to be right there supporting them through the rest of their homebuying journey. Stay tuned for more.

Hi Neighbor! We have a new date. 🎉

The Sacred Place at Matriarch Park ribbon cutting is happening Friday, October 30, from 10 to 11 AM on the 500 block of N. Carrollton Ave.

Thank you for your patience while we rescheduled. This park was shaped by the people on this block: what to plant, where to sit, what it should feel like. Now it’s time to open it together.

Bring your neighbors, bring your family, and come celebrate with Parity Homes, Parks & People, Nature Sacred and EnviroCollab.

Nick and Amanda found Parity by accident. They showed up for an open house in West Baltimore, learned it was somewhere else, and a neighbor pointed them down the street. As Amanda says: “It was kind of a surprise to find Parity at all. We are so thankful.”

That house is theirs now. Some weeks ago, they filled it with family and friends and had everyone write on the studs before the walls went up. Nick summed it up perfectly:
“Parents brought snacks. It was just a lot of people running around and enjoying themselves, mostly being silly and putting up little messages. Some of them were nice uplifting ones, but for the most part it was people goofing around. It was a fun mood.”

This is what Parity house blessings are for: to fill the house with good vibes and wishes, so those can also be part of the structure.

A big thank you to Healthy Neighborhoods and the Baltimore Vacants Reinvestment Initiatie (BVRI) from the Maryland Department of Housing and Community Development whose work on the 3.5% rate put this house within reach.

Saturday, October 3: we’re cutting the ribbon on The Sacred Place at Matriarch Park. We want to celebrate this milestone for West Baltimore with you and our partners.

None of this happens without , whose belief in this block made this park possible. They also offered a bench with a community journal, so people can sit down, enjoy the space, draw or write and leave a message to next person sitting down.

But this park really came from the neighbors. People on this block came to the meetings, said what they wanted and with shaped the design. On Saturday we finish it together: planting a tree and building bee hotels and bird houses to put up in the par, with assistance from .
