Brandon Riley I am a licensed REALTOR in the great state of Connecticut. Let me know if there is ever anything I can do for you! I look forward to meeting you!

Reach out to me directly, I'm always available! A little background on me, I grew up in the North West Hills of CT. My family was in the dairy farming business in the area as I was growing up so I was no stranger to hard work. I went into the construction business after high school where I worked for a home builder building homes. From there I went into excavation and site work. I loved running heavy equipment so I stayed with this line of employment for about 15 years. I found myself wanting to work with people on a more personal basis and was always interested in real estate. So in mid 2016 I took the leap into the real estate industry and never looked back! I have been running and building my real estate business since February of 2017. Since then I have made so many new friends and met so many great people along the way. I now have the opportunity to help many people realize their dreams of home ownership everyday. I have also assisted many of my clients achieve their goals of upgrading or downsizing their homes. (I truly love this part of the business!)

No matter the circumstances people come to me with I am ready to help! I have a high regard for integrity in business which ensures my devotion to my current and future clients. I also have a keen eye for the real estate market, having worked in the industry for a many years. I have helped build, sell and buy homes of all price ranges and sizes. I am eager to bring my passion, dedication and professionalism to work for you. I offer my clients a no pressure approach to establishing and maintaining a long lasting relationship that will serve you for years to come. Remember, if you or someone you know are looking to sell rent or buy, I'm your guy!

The runway lights failed. The village didn't.
โœˆ๏ธ๐Ÿ›ป๐Ÿš™๐Ÿšš

Late on August 28, 2020, a child in the remote Alaska village of Igiugig needed an emergency flight to Anchorage. A LifeMed Alaska plane was on its way, but the runway lights wouldn't turn on.

Ida Nelson had just stepped out of a steam bath when she heard the aircraft overhead. It was after 11 p.m. She looked toward the airport and saw darkness where the lights should have been.

She got on her four-wheeler and headed to the runway. A neighbor began calling for help โ€” 32 calls, reaching almost every household in the small village.

People got out of bed. Some were still in their pajamas. They brought cars, trucks and ATVs, coordinating by phone and radio while the pilot circled above.

They positioned their vehicles along the runway, using headlights to illuminate the way.

And when the plane landed, nobody left.

They held their positions while the child was brought aboard. They stayed as the aircraft taxied down the runway and took off for Anchorage.

It wasn't a new lighting system. It was a community using what it had, refusing to let a family face an emergency alone.

That night, โ€œit takes a villageโ€ wasn't just a saying. It was a runway lit by neighbors who showed up.

Johnny Depp has a pretty wild connection to Black American history. Genealogy research by Ancestry found that Depp's eighth great-grandmother was Elizabeth Key, a biracial woman born to an African mother and an English father who was held in slavery in colonial Virginia.

In the 1650s, Key took her fight for freedom to court. Her case relied partly on the fact that her father was English and that she was a baptized Christian. On July 21, 1656, she successfully won freedom for herself and her infant son.

Centuries later, genealogists traced her family line to Depp, making Elizabeth Key his eighth great-grandmother. Ancestry actually revealed the connection back in 2013 while researching Depp's family tree around the release of The Lone Ranger. ๐Ÿ‘€
