Today is the day!

250 years ago, our Founding Fathers enshrined the right to vote for some, and through the 15th, 19th, 23rd, 24th, and 26th amendments, our country has ensured the right to vote for all citizens to vote freely.

Wishing everyone a thoughtful and respectful Election Day.

🏡 Is Your Home’s Layout Still Working for You?

Sometimes, it’s not the size of your home that matters. It’s how the space works.

Maybe you’re tired of climbing stairs, walking through a maze of separate rooms, or feeling disconnected from the rest of the household when you’re cooking or entertaining.

You might be looking for an open floor plan, a primary bedroom on the main level, or a home where everyday living feels more convenient.

Your next move doesn’t have to mean giving up space. It could mean finding a layout that fits the way you want to live now.

At The Homes on Village in Forestville, Santos & Team can help coordinate the sale of your current home with your transition to a new one, including builder coordination and timeline support.

🏡 Start with one simple question: What is your home worth?

🎃 Halloween Reminder: Slow Down & Watch for Little Ghouls! 👻

Tonight, our neighborhoods will be filled with little ghosts, superheroes, princesses, and plenty of excited trick-or-treaters! 🍬

As you head out, please remember to:
🚗 Slow down in residential neighborhoods.
🎃 Stay extra alert for children crossing the street, especially between parked cars.
📵 Put the phone away and keep your eyes on the road.
🛑 Stop for pedestrians and watch carefully at intersections and driveways.

A few extra seconds of caution can make all the difference in keeping our little trick-or-treaters safe.

From our homes to yours, wishing everyone a happy, fun, and SAFE Halloween! 🧡🖤

🏡 Because the best neighborhoods are the ones where we look out for one another.

The whole family is house hunting—even the four-legged members. For some buyers, the perfect home isn’t just about bedrooms and bathrooms. It’s about a backyard for the dog, a nearby park for daily walks or a vet just around the corner. Read more: https://bit.ly/4yPLLRV

Is Your Home Ready for Your Next Chapter?

🍁 Sometimes the question isn't whether your home is beautiful. It's whether it still fits your life.

Maybe the kids have moved out.
Maybe the yard feels like more work than fun.
Maybe you're using three rooms in a house with eight.
Or maybe you're simply ready for something different.

Right-sizing isn't about giving something up. It's about asking whether your home still supports the way you want to live.

And you don't have to make a decision today.

Sometimes the first step is simply asking the question:

Does my home still fit my life?

🌿 Think you know Simsbury? Think again.

This Farmington Valley town has a history that’s every bit as interesting as its scenery.

🪙 Simsbury helped make Connecticut history.
In 1737, Dr. Samuel Higley minted copper coins using ore from the Copper Hill Mine. The mine was in what is now East Granby, but at the time it was part of Simsbury.

🏭 It was an early center of industry.
Simsbury became home to what Connecticut History describes as the nation’s first steel-making venture in 1728, followed by a carpet factory in 1825 and a safety-fuse operation in 1836. That fuse business eventually evolved into the company known today as Ensign-Bickford Aerospace & Defense.

🌸 That famous Flower Bridge has a story of its own.
The Old Drake Hill Bridge was built in 1892 as a one-lane bridge across the Farmington River. After a new bridge replaced it in 1992, the historic bridge was restored—and in 1996, local residents began transforming it into the flower-filled landmark we know today.

🌳 And yes, that really is one impressive tree.
The Pinchot Sycamore, along the Farmington River, is recognized by the Town of Simsbury as the oldest tree of its kind in Connecticut and serves as an official town symbol. It was named for Simsbury-born conservationist Gifford Pinchot.

🚲 There’s even a canal hiding in the landscape.
The Farmington Canal ran through Simsbury in the 1820s, connecting New Haven with Northampton, Massachusetts. The canal operated until the late 1840s, when the railroad took over its route.

Copper coins. Steel. Canals. A 130-year-old bridge covered in flowers.

Not bad for one Connecticut town. 💙

That’s what makes exploring Connecticut so much fun—there’s always another story hiding around the corner.

“Where can the kids go trick or treating?”

Because you're not just choosing a house.
You're choosing a neighborhood. 🎃

The places where kids ride bikes, neighbors wave, porches glow—and Halloween becomes a memory.
