Turning Storm Debris Into a Cleaner Landscape 🌿

Deadwood was removed throughout the property, a fallen tree was safely bucked into manageable sections, and all material was hauled to the homeowner's burn pile for easy disposal. Simple maintenance like this keeps a property safer, cleaner, and ready for the next season.

Giving Every Tree Its Own Space to Thrive 🌳

Healthy landscapes are all about balance. We opened up the view from the back porch, created better separation between competing tree canopies, refined a multi-stem cedar into a stronger single-leader form, and transformed an old cedar brush pile into usable mulch for the property. Every improvement was made with the goal of enhancing the landscape while preserving the natural beauty and long-term health of the trees.

Protecting the Garage While Opening Up the Landscape 🌳

This project focused on protecting the garage while preserving the beauty of the surrounding oaks. We safely removed a cedar near the driveway and carefully pruned the oak canopies to establish roof clearance using proper reduction cuts that support long-term tree health. The result is a cleaner landscape, better protection for the structure, and healthy trees with room to continue growing naturally.

How do you remove a tree that’s resting on a house?

The tricky part is figuring out what’s holding it up—and how it could move as pieces come off.

This live oak in Austin failed near its base during heavy rain and wind, leaving portions resting on the roof and nearby fencing. With the tree supported in several places, removing one section could shift weight somewhere else.

Our removal plan called for working through it in smaller sections, using rigging and a telehandler to help stabilize and handle the tree. The equipment’s role wasn’t to pick up the entire tree at once. It was to help control the remaining sections as the crew gradually reduced the weight.

That means watching the tree’s movement, checking the points where it touches the home, and communicating throughout the job. The plan also has to adapt to what the crew finds as work progresses.

If a tree falls onto your home, keep people and pets away from the affected area and have it assessed before attempting cleanup. A tree that looks settled can still be under tension or shift unexpectedly.

There’s a lot of planning behind those few seconds of removal footage. 🌳

This project was about more than clearing trees—it was about revealing the landscape. We removed a leaning cedar and a struggling juvenile oak, cleaned up deadwood throughout the backyard, and carefully pruned around a backyard sculpture to improve visibility and access while preserving the surrounding healthy trees. The result is a more open, inviting outdoor space where the views, artwork, and landscape can all be appreciated together.

We like to talk trees! And we’re happy to walk the yard with you and answer questions before the saws ever start.

This review from a Dripping Springs customer says a lot about the care Ben and our crew put into the whole job, from that first conversation to the cleanup. Proud of this team! 🌳

Thoughtful Pruning for Better Outdoor Living

This project was all about making the backyard more enjoyable without sacrificing the mature trees that make it special. We improved clearance around the roof, porch, pool, and fence, separated overlapping canopies to give each tree room to thrive, and carefully refined the live oaks for a cleaner, more open appearance. With a final cleanup of the front-yard tree, the entire landscape feels brighter, more balanced, and ready to be enjoyed year-round.

Thoughtful Pruning for a Healthier Cedar Elm

This cedar elm received a thoughtful canopy raise and light interior canopy cleanout to improve its structure, airflow, and overall appearance. By selectively pruning rather than over-trimming, we preserved the tree's natural form while creating a cleaner, more balanced canopy that will continue to thrive for years to come.

A Better View Starts From the Driveway 🌳

The first impression of this property just got even better. By opening up the front-yard oaks, clearing the guest house roofline, and removing deadwood and ball moss, we helped these mature trees become the centerpiece of the landscape instead of hiding it. The result is a property that feels brighter, more open, and beautifully maintained without sacrificing the natural character of the oaks.
