“The wound is where the light enters you.” Rumi


These past few days have shown me that even where there is pain, there is healing after.

I am continually inspired to dig deep and find my source of healing these past few months. My faith is stronger than ever, and friends who I never knew would be good friends, show up.

What does that have to do with the picture? My love for art. The textures and colors inspire and I am using it to hopefully guide me back to painting and find joy in it again.

Over the years, I have gone back only to quit again. Maybe this week, as the days get cooler, I will start again. I guess as long as I keep starting - I will keep taking one step more.

Joy is what we all need. ❤️

Because the moment we stop showing up for our own lives out of fear, we've already decided the outcome.

I keep thinking about that.

Life is going to hand us moments we never would have chosen. There will be disappointment, uncertainty, loss, and days when it is genuinely hard to see what could possibly come next.

Staying positive doesn't mean pretending those moments don't hurt.

It means refusing to let a difficult season convince you that your best days are behind you.

It means getting up and trying again when you don't feel particularly hopeful.

It means leaving a little room for life to surprise you.

You can be scared and still take the chance.

You can be disappointed and still believe something good is ahead.

You can have absolutely no idea how things are going to work out and still decide you're going to keep showing up.

Because you don't need to know what's waiting for you around the corner.

You just need enough courage to keep walking toward it.

**I don't know what's out there. I don't know how this is going to turn out.**

**But I'm not sitting this one out.**

I'm staying in the game.
