🍂 A LITTLE FALL HOME TLC!

Good gracious, it seems like we went from summer straight into chilly mornings here in Augusta! 😂

And while we're pulling out sweaters and turning on the heat, it's also a good time to show our homes a little attention.

A few things worth checking before winter settles in:

🏡 Clean out those gutters! Leaves and debris can prevent water from draining properly.

🍁 Check around windows and exterior doors for worn weatherstripping or gaps that let cold air sneak inside.

🔥 Have your heating system serviced if you haven't already, and replace those HVAC filters.

🚰 Disconnect garden hoses and protect exposed outdoor plumbing before freezing temperatures arrive.

🌳 Take a look at trees and overhanging limbs, especially anything that might become a problem during winter storms.

None of these things are particularly exciting, but a little preventive maintenance can help avoid expensive surprises down the road.

And after nearly three decades in real estate, I can tell you that deferred maintenance has a way of showing up at the most inconvenient times, especially when you're getting ready to sell!
