Big milestone. Even bigger recognition of the work behind it.

We’re proud to announce the promotion of Brett Shaw to Managing Partner at DTSpade.

Brett has played an important role in the growth of our firm, bringing the kind of leadership, expertise, and commitment that makes an impact far beyond any one transaction. He’s built trusted relationships with clients, been a resource to his teammates, and consistently raised the bar in how he approaches the work.

Managing Partner is a title that’s earned here. And Brett has earned it.

Congratulations, Brett. Well deserved, and we’re excited to keep building with you.

One week down. Nine to go.

Our 2026 DTSpade Fellowship is officially underway, and this year's Fellows are already making an impact at our Atlanta headquarters.

Please join us in welcoming:
Joseph Thompson — University of Miami, Economics
Alex Lobel — University of Michigan, Political Science (returning Fellow)
Luke Whicker — University of Mississippi, Business Marketing & Sales

What sets this group apart? All three are already licensed real estate professionals in Georgia.

Over the next few weeks, they'll gain hands-on experience across commercial real estate brokerage, market research, business development, underwriting, and client advisory services while supporting our team on active assignments.

Much of that work starts in what we affectionately call the "Shark Tank" — the collaborative workspace where ideas are challenged, deals are discussed, and future industry leaders develop the skills needed to succeed in a competitive market.

This isn't a fellowship built around observation. It's built around participation.

The future of commercial real estate depends on talented, motivated professionals willing to learn, adapt, and contribute. We're proud to invest in the next generation.

Welcome to the team, Joseph, Alex, and Luke. We can't wait to see what you'll accomplish this summer.

With more than 23 years of real estate and investment sales experience, Brooks brings dedicated self-storage investment sales expertise to our Land & Specialized Assets vertical, expanding DTSpade's ability to serve owners, operators, developers, and investors across an increasingly important asset class.

As a former managing broker and business owner, Brooks offers a unique owner-minded perspective shaped by decades of experience across investment sales, property management, land development, multifamily transactions, REO disposition, and strategic advisory services.

His addition strengthens DTSpade's specialized brokerage platform while creating new opportunities to serve self-storage clients throughout Georgia and across the country.

Please join us in welcoming Brooks to the team.

HUGE accomplishment and milestone met! 🎉

We’re proud to announce the promotion of Bill Langley to Managing Partner.

For the past 9 years, Bill has been a steady force at DTSpade. Trusted by clients. Respected by teammates. Consistent in how he shows up and delivers. He has built a strong reputation in healthcare real estate, with deep experience across medical transactions and a clear specialization in ASCs and OBLs. As a CCIM and speaker at medical conferences, Bill brings both expertise and perspective that clients rely on.

What makes this moment even more meaningful? At DTSpade, Managing Partner is earned, not hired. Bill is the first to reach this role through internal promotion. A reflection of the culture we’re building and the standard we hold.

Well deserved. Well earned. Excited for what’s ahead.

In her role, Shawna supports daily office operations and enhances the overall efficiency of our team — helping ensure both our agents and clients are well-supported at every touchpoint. Her addition expands the capacity of our Cornerstone support team and reflects DTSpade’s continued growth and investment in operational excellence.

We are excited to welcome Tristine Okonye to DTSpade as a member of our Healthcare & Medical brokerage team, based in our Atlanta headquarters.

Tristine specializes in healthcare and medical office properties, advising providers, practice owners, and investors on acquisitions, leasing strategy, site selection, and portfolio growth. A native of Durham, North Carolina, she earned her undergraduate degree from the University of North Carolina and her master’s degree from North Carolina State University.

Before entering commercial real estate, Tristine competed as a professional track and field athlete, developing the discipline, resilience, and performance mindset that now define her approach to complex transactions. She later served as an analyst within the federal government, where she applied rigorous data analysis to high-impact public sector initiatives — experience that continues to inform her strategic, methodical advisory style.

At the core of her work is a simple mission: to thoughtfully serve those who serve others. We are proud to welcome Tristine to the firm as we continue to grow our Healthcare & Medical practice. Please join us in welcoming Tristine to DTSpade.

A bold new tenant is taking the stage at Ponce City Market.

Whiplash Comedy, the latest concept from the team behind Laughing Skull Lounge and Funny Farm Comedy Club, is set to open a two-showroom venue at the corner of Glen Iris Drive and North Avenue. Whiplash will bring nightly stand-up from national touring acts and regional favorites, plus a “tight” food menu, a full beverage program, and comedy classes.

It's a major signing for one of the city’s most iconic destinations — and a big win for Atlanta’s comedy scene.

DTSpade was proud to represent Whiplash in securing the perfect space to build buzz, draw crowds, and create unforgettable nights. Bryant Cornett and Trey Parrish helped position our client at the heart of one of Atlanta’s most celebrated destinations.

Two Suites. One Retirement Plan Achieved.

When a long-time owner in Stone Mountain was ready to retire and move his family back to Boston, Cordera led the sale that made it possible.

The strategy? Target owner-users within the office park first.
The outcome?

✔️ Both suites sold quickly
✔️ Achieved strong pricing with full-value offers
✔️ Both transitioned from tenants to first-time owners

Cordera educated the buyers on comps, market potential, and how ownership could offset their costs while helping grow their businesses.

The result: a smooth close and a stronger, more stable office community. All from a relationship that started with a prospecting call.
