SUNDAY, OCTOBER 18th, from 2pm-4pm, take a short drive through BEAUTIFUL Whitlock Heights and Whitlock Manor for a tour of three wonderful homes!

479 Banks Street: A gem of a brick ranch, ready to welcome you As Is, or to be the canvas for your dream home in this dreamy, established neighborhood. Hickory Hills Elementary School is a one block stroll from the front door! Don't miss the cute detached garage/workshop!

614 Colston Court: Situated on a quiet cul-de-sac, with pretty updates, a brand new roof, and just enough little projects to help your equity grow. A great price point for a great property in a uniquely tight-knit and welcoming neighborhood. Come get to dreaming about how you'll build out the basement!

739 Colston Road: Freshly renovated inside and out, this stately property is dressed to impress. Not a single thing that you'll need to touch unless you just can't bear to keep your hands to yourself. This home is absolutely turnkey, but the gorgeous .7 acre lot is going to kick your imagination into overdrive!

Come see why the Whitlock Heights/Whitlock Manor neighborhood is a place where folks simply dig in and put down roots. Larger lots, big trees, friendly neighbors, and so close to Marietta Square and access to major highways, but with all of the hustle properly bustled for a more laidback lifestyle nestled near Kennesaw Mountain.

479 Banks Street hosted by Phillip Rogers, and listed by Johnny Walker and Carey Cox, Johnny Walker Realty.

614 Colston Court hosted and listed by Meg Burton, Johnny Walker Realty.

Tell me you’re a Realtor without telling me you’re a Realtor:

My son walked out in workout clothes to go for a run around 8:30 this morning.

I was surprised to see him not dressed for work.

“Are you working from home today?”

He, of course, replied, “It’s…Saturday.”

Whereupon I continued staring at him for a beat trying to process that statement.

My husband summed it nicely, “Yeah, Saturday is a day off for the ‘normies’.”

24 absolutely gorgeous acres in Powder Springs!

Formerly used as a cattle farm, and most recently for horses, golf cart rides, red solo cups on the zero-turn, and making joyful noise!

Beautiful little four-stall stable with fenced pasture area. Vintage red barn just dying to be the back drop of all of your family photos! And a big old pole barn, that needs a hug, but standing sturdy like a boss.

Sure, you can build a subdivision. But, y’all, you could just build an amazing life instead.😉

Leah Lane dead ends into the driveway for this exceptional property.

Don’t walk it without an appointment! Owners selling his personal home next door at 5851 Leah Lane, and is on property.

Asking $960,000.

Load up the truck with a happy cooler and a bunch of Benjamins and a fainting couch. This land is swoon-worthy!

Ran by one of my listings this morning to do the usual list of “Things Your Realtor Panics About and Races Over to Check on Right Before a Showing”:

Blow leaves on driveways and walkways
Turn lights on
Put down toilet seats
Make sure counters aren’t sticky
Give a quick sweep

Not to mention the most exceptionally annoying recent sport of whacking the snot out of Joro Spiders and cleaning up their webs that are apparently made of 24 gauge fishing line and Gorilla Glue. (Gah! Hate them! And I will NOT apologize for it.)

But, today held the most dreaded surprise for any Realtor: the incessant beep of a battery dying in a smoke detector.

Y’all. It is my biggest pet peeve when I go to show a house, and I had JUST cleaned out my car, including taking out the stepladder and my stash of batteries.

This is as close to panic as I have ever felt. I have never been this close to a showing time with a beeping smoke detector. EVER.

But, I have learned that if you live a life being randomly nice to dogs and old folks, gifts will rain upon you. And today, they did.

I was frantically racing out the door, blowing leaves as I went, with my eyes on the prize of doing my best to run around gathering stuff and trying to run right back before the showing, but resigned that I would likely be typing up a text of apology to the en route agent for the eye-twitch-inducing background noise in this otherwise delightful property.

And as I did, my charming little hand held leaf blower caught the eye of the charming next door neighbor, who asked to see it. It was 11:23am. The showing was at noon. My stepladder was 15 minutes away, and I had a choice to make.

And I chose to chat with the neighbor and let him try out my leaf blower.

After which, he mentioned that he was having a yard sale on Saturday, (which clued me in that I should hold a corresponding Open House, and so I shall!) And he asked if I wanted a sneak preview of the items for sale.

With the five minutes that I originally needed already lost, I said “Sure!”

And guess what the first thing was that I saw?

The cutest little stepstool I have ever seen.

So I bought it.

Within 15 minutes, I had run to the store for a 9 volt, precariously perched myself at the top of stairs on that little sucker, swapped the battery and stopped that infernal beep.

I was in my car and gone with 5 minutes to spare.

And now, I’m hosting an Open House with a ready audience of curiosity seekers rolling up to a brand new million dollar plus palace right next door.

If ever there were a reminder to slow down, take a breath, and just act like a normal human being, today was it.

AND I got this stepladder for $5! Booyah!

This beauty is open TODAY, Sunday, September 13th, from 1pm-3pm.

Putting the Braves on the radio like my Granddaddy did, and hoping my missing the Falcons kickoff will bring better tidings this year.

I've got treats. And cold waters in the fridge, and some light elixirs.

I also have a book, 'cause an Open House with the Braves and Falcons both playing may be the dumbest I've ever done. (And I test dumb ideas a lot!)

Come see this rock star of a property!

Hey, 297 Frasier Street! How you doin'?

This house is an absolute GEM!

Fall weather is coming, and the time will be right for rolling and strolling. Hit the Square by car or e-Bike in two minutes. On foot, or by Rascal...maybe 10-12. You won't believe how close you are to all the action!

Like a little more adventuring? The Mountain to River (M2R) Trail is just a few blocks away. Head to Kennesaw Mountain in one direction, or venture on to the Silver Comet Trail to continue to the Chattahoochee River.

3 bedrooms, including one on the main floor, and three FULL baths, including one on the main floor. Beautifully designed and expertly staged. A great, fully fenced backyard. And such fun folks all around.

This is a brand new build, and it's only $579,000!

You'll hate to leave this great house, but so much awaits outside this front door, you're just going to have to suck it up and wander outdoors. Prepare to be charmed!

GUESS WHO HAS TWO THUMBS AND IS PLAYING AROUND WITH REAL ESTATE VIDEOS!?

That's right...everybody! (Well...except for those who are perhaps missing one or two thumbs. I mean no offense to the fully or partially thumbless. I have no doubt y'all are making videos, too!)

AND FINALLY ME!

I am also thoroughly enjoying the wonders of AI putting my thoughts into pictures. Spoiler alert: two are included in this video!

Prepare to be dazzled, people!

Come see me Sunday, September 13th, from 1pm to 3pm and envision your own backyard dreams in real time.

Football Widows, I'm looking at you! Bring a book and enjoy the peace and quiet of the fabulous screened in porch! I've got a little something special in the fridge for you, and it's not Bud Light. (No offense to the Bud Light lovers of the world either. I know y'all are fine people.)

See you Sunday!
