Crescent Roll Mummy Dogs 🌭🎃
Looking for a quick, kid-friendly dinner to whip up before heading out for trick-or-treating or a community costume contest? These Crescent Roll Mummy Dogs take less than 20 minutes and require only 3 core ingredients!
Ingredients
🌭 1 pack (8 count) standard hot dogs or plant-based dogs
🥐 1 can (8 oz) refrigerated crescent dough sheets or rolls
🧀 4 slices American or cheddar cheese, cut into thin strips (optional)
🟡 Garnish: Yellow mustard or ketchup (for the eyes)
👀 Optional bonus: Candy eyeballs (stick them on with a dab of mustard after baking!)
Instructions
🔥 Preheat: Set your apartment oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
🔪 Slice: Unroll the crescent dough onto a clean cutting board. Cut the dough lengthwise into thin, bandage-like strips using a pizza cutter or butter knife.
🧀 Prep: Place a thin slice of cheese alongside each hot dog for extra gooey goodness.
🩹 Wrap: Wrap 4 to 5 strips of dough around each hot dog, crisscrossing slightly to create a messy mummy look. Be sure to leave a small opening near the top for the mummy's "face."
♨️ Bake: Place on the baking sheet and bake for 12 to 15 minutes, or until the dough is puffed and golden brown.
👁️ Detail: Dot two spots of mustard or ketchup in the face opening for the eyes, or dab mustard to secure candy eyes.
