We recently took to the air over the High Hampton golf course, using UAS to capture a topographic survey. ⛳

It’s the latest chapter in a long partnership with this Cashiers community. Over the years, our team has delivered boundary, topographic, and easement surveys; platted new home and cottage subdivisions; and provided construction staking for infrastructure and amenities, all to help High Hampton grow without losing the character that makes it special.

Proud to be part of the story, and excited for what’s next.

It was wonderful to have so many Holmes Geospatial staff from all our offices together yesterday for a team-building day. Between Josh’s quarterly State of the Company presentation, lunch from Jose’s Taco Truck, the raffle, and a few rounds of games, we spent a fun afternoon catching up. Days like this remind us how lucky we are to work alongside such great people.

Two of our team members have reached big milestones on the road to PLS licensure.

✅ 𝗔𝗹𝗲𝘅 𝗞𝗶𝗻𝘀𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗱 recently passed the PS exam. Next up: the North Carolina state-specific exam.

✅ 𝗠𝗮𝘅 𝗢𝗹𝘀𝘇𝗮𝗰𝗸 passed the FS exam last month. Next up: the PS exam.

We're proud to have team members who invest in themselves, and incredibly grateful to have Max and Alex on our team.

Congratulations to them both!

What's hiding inside your slab or wall? Rebar. Conduits. Post-tension cables. None of it visible — all of it capable of turning a cut into a costly repair. Our SUI team's concrete scanning solutions give contractors the information they need before cutting, coring, drilling, or anchoring: what's inside, and where. Better decisions. Fewer conflicts. No damage to critical components.

Steep slopes. Active construction. Structures with limited access. That's where our remote sensing team can help.

Holmes Geospatial uses UAS technology to capture what ground crews often can't safely or easily access:
🔹High-resolution video and imagery
🔹As-built documentation
🔹Marketing and promotional content
🔹Progress tracking on your schedule — weekly, monthly, or yearly

Safer inspections. Better documentation. Same trusted team.

Not every survey project begins with a property line. Sometimes, it begins on a manufacturing floor—where precision leaves little room for error.

When Timberlab needed help with an unconventional layout project at its Greenville mass timber facility, Holmes Geospatial was happy to assist.

Our team provided precision survey layout for manufacturing jigs used in the fabrication of structural mass timber beams. These jigs serve as positioning guides, helping Timberlab place and assemble large timber components consistently and accurately. Precise jig placement is essential to maintaining production quality, reducing rework, and ensuring the finished components align properly when installed in the field.

This project is an example of how surveying extends beyond traditional property boundaries. We’re proud to apply our expertise in a new way and support Timberlab’s innovative mass timber operations.

Thank you to the Timberlab team for trusting Holmes Geospatial with this unique project.
