When we opened The Harris-Martin House in 2019, we were happy to have Borski's Antiques open on Main Street so our guests could explore and experience Anderson. There is so much more to enjoy in downtown now!

We always recommend Toasted Tomato and we recently hosted the guest of honor for a surprise birthday party at The Apolonia-on-Main!

With SpaceX TeraFab and other industry coming to the county, Anderson, Texas's once-empty Main Street is thriving with new restaurants, boutiques and more.

We are partnering with She DOES it ALL Painting to repair, refresh, and repaint The HMH! We are pleased to work with a local, woman-owned business to get the job done.

Anderson where? 😜

Most Texans have never heard of Anderson, Texas. 🤠

But this tiny town of fewer than 200 people is one of the oldest county seats in the entire state, and it has been the seat of Grimes County since 1846, just one year after Texas joined the Union.

At its peak, Anderson was a thriving stop on the old stagecoach route, a hub of commerce, politics, and frontier life in the heart of Texas. Today, the 1891 courthouse still stands over a nearly silent town square, surrounded by live oaks and the kind of quiet that makes you feel like you've stepped back 150 years.

Some places grow into cities. Anderson chose to stay itself. And honestly? There's something beautiful about that. 🌿
