The best part of this transaction was the people--and what a fantastic reminder it was of how the little things we do as agents can profoundly impact the stories behind the move, in particular when the transaction happens while there are tenants transferring to new owners.

My clients on the list side of this transaction were loving landlords for many years, and the long-term tenants were nervous and sad to see them go, but we found the PERFECT buyers working with Ashley Terrill at Friedrich to leave everyone in the best of hands.

It has been a delight to get to know my clients and find so many cool intersections in our lives from before we started this adventure together. While one part of this gig that I dislike is saying 'see you later' to some fantastic humans that it pains me to have leave Ames, I also am happy for my sellers and excited to work with buy side agent Lara H from Hunziker as she shepherds some new folks into town, and to bring this one across the finish line.

It was a bittersweet journey selling my childhood home that my parents poured love and care into for more than fifty years earlier this month after more than a year of cleaning out the memories and sprucing it up for its next owner.
