Our REAL Professionals Network Dallas Chapter enjoyed an incredible presentation on the Dallas–Fort Worth commercial real estate market at our October meeting!

A special thank you to Bill Kitchens and Cody Gibbs with CoStar Group for sharing their expertise and insights across the office, industrial, retail, and multifamily sectors. Their presentation gave our members a valuable look at the trends shaping the DFW market.

A few key takeaways:

🏢 Office: Tenants continue to favor newer, well-located and move-in-ready spaces.

🏭 Industrial: Leasing has reached record levels, with strong demand for larger, newer facilities.

🛍️ Retail: Limited availability continues to support a balanced market.

🏘️ Multifamily: Strong apartment demand and a slowing construction pipeline are helping bring supply and demand into better balance.

We would also like to extend a heartfelt thank-you to Kimber Davison with Buchalter Griffith Davison for her continued support, hospitality, and leadership of our Dallas Chapter. We appreciate everything you do to make our meetings a success!

Thank you to everyone who joined us and contributed to the conversation!

Strong relationships. Candid conversations. Valuable market insights. 🤝

Our latest REAL Professionals Network Atlanta Chapter discussion highlighted how commercial real estate professionals are adapting to today’s market—and preparing for 2027.

A few takeaways from around the table:

🔹 Getting deals across the finish line requires creativity, persistence and close collaboration among investors, lenders, architects and developers.
🔹 Leasing remains active across several sectors, even as rising costs and cautious decision-making influence transactions.
🔹 Early planning for environmental due diligence, security and emergency preparedness can help prevent costly surprises.
🔹 SBA financing, evolving ownership structures and new technology are creating opportunities for businesses to move forward.
🔹 Responsiveness matters—answering the phone, following through and being a trusted resource continue to make a difference.

Thank you to everyone who shared their expertise, challenges and opportunities.

These conversations are what make RPN valuable: professionals learning from one another, strengthening relationships and helping each other succeed.

Charlotte’s growth story is about more than individual projects—it’s about how talent, investment, innovation, and connectivity build on one another.

Our REAL Professionals Network Charlotte Chapter welcomed James LaBar with Charlotte Center City Partners for an engaging presentation on “Charlotte’s Compounding Advantage.”

A few highlights:

🏙️ Center City generates $61.6 billion in annual GDP and supports 152,000 jobs.

🏗️ A $4.4 billion development pipeline spans new construction, modernizations, and conversions, creating opportunities across residential, hospitality, office, and retail.

💡 Districts such as North Tryon and The Pearl are helping position Charlotte for continued growth in technology, entrepreneurship, and healthcare innovation.

🚆 Transportation investments, population growth, and a vibrant sports and entertainment scene are strengthening connections across the region.

Thank you, James, for sharing your insights into the opportunities shaping Charlotte’s future!

A special thank you to Brian Schoeck with Johnston, Allison & Hord, our meeting host and champion, for his continued leadership and hospitality.

Thank you to our members and guests for another thoughtful discussion and the connections that make this group so valuable!

Nashville’s growth continues—with opportunity and challenges shaping the path forward.

Our REAL Professionals Network Nashville Chapter roundtable brought together perspectives from across commercial real estate. Here are a few key takeaways:

🏗️ Development remains active. Members highlighted opportunities in hospitality, retail, education, healthcare, data centers, and industrial development across Middle Tennessee.

🏟️ Sports and entertainment are driving investment. Athletic facilities and surrounding entertainment districts are creating opportunities and influencing development timelines.

💰 Financing remains a hurdle. Higher borrowing costs and equity gaps are keeping some projects on hold, while members reported refinancing activity and banks ready to lend on qualifying deals.

🏘️ Suburban growth is expanding demand. Growing communities need schools, public services, retail, and infrastructure, though utility constraints continue to complicate some projects.

🏙️ Downtown presents a mixed picture. Nashville Downtown Partnership reported approximately 14% office vacancy and 3% retail vacancy, with hotel conversions also part of the conversation.

The shared outlook: Nashville’s fundamentals remain encouraging, but moving projects forward takes creativity, capital, and collaboration.

A special thank you to Ben Simpson with Nashville Downtown Partnership for his engaging presentation and valuable insights. We also thank Richard Warren, our meeting champion and host, for his continued leadership and support of the group.

Thank you to all our members and guests for contributing to an engaging discussion!
