Pleased to begin our journey with The Greater Lehigh Valley Chamber of Commerce!
Utility companies are providing some fantastic rebates that you need to review. If you are planning to replace your heating system, cooling system or appliances, you should review the offers that they provide. PPL, Met-Ed and UGI all have separate and distinctive rebate programs that they offer.
PPL has a $400 rebate to replace your water heater, while UGI has a $500 rebate to install a tankless water heater. They both offer a variety of rebates for upgrades such as these.
Most companies have an allowance for a “smart thermostat”, such as a “Nest Thermostat” or any other brand. Rebates generally range from $50 - $100.
Looking to change your refrigerator? Not only will PPL and Met-Ed pick-up your appliance free of charge, they may also pay you for the exchange.
There are programs that are offered for other changes such as insulating your attic, lighting and many other ways to conserve energy.
Switching from incandescent bulbs to ENERGY STAR rated LEDs is an effective, simple way to save energy and money. LEDs use up to 75% less energy without sacrificing light output. LEDs can last up to 20 years longer than traditional incandescent bulbs, so you save on bulb replacement costs too. Every 60-watt incandescent bulb that is replaced with an LED can save you more than $4 per year in electricity costs. That’s $160 per year for a home with 40 bulbs.
This will not only save you money, but it will also help the environment. Checking with your accountant is smart as well as you may also have some tax savings by making these changes.
If you know someone that is looking for a new job with a growing company and strong team, please have them contact Joshua Harden. [email protected]

A few years ago, my HVAC Unit stopped working. The Company I hired stated I need a new system and provided an estimate of around $8K. I called ICS (Indoor Comfort Solutions) for a competitive price while on site to provide a quote, the technician said, “wait a second”. Went to the truck and grabbed a capacitor (don’t ask me what this is), anyway, installed the capacitor and I was up and running in minutes.
Fast forward 3 years and I called again early on a Monday morning with no Air Conditioning. By noon, I was up and running again and my home was 70 degrees by the time we arrived home from work.
Service is a rare commodity in 2019 and I truly appreciate the service provided by ICS Heating and Air Conditioning.
The new office was a long wait, and still a work in progress, but we are pleased to expand the brand with our new signs!

We look forward to the start date of April 1, 2017.
November is the time to be thankful, a time to remember and to embrace those who enrich our lives. I’m thankful for a lot of things, but I’m most thankful for You!
Our Emergency Call Center was responsive to more than 150 calls through the Blizzard of 2016. We have to say all in all things went pretty well. We would thank all the snow removal contractors for their responsiveness to all of our needs.
The Blizzard of 2016 was the largest snowfall in a 24-hour period ever, period. With Climate Change, we have found the new normal so we prepare for more of the same in the future.
MRH Enterprise has prepared for the first large snow event that will occur later this week. Should you have any special needs, please contact our office.
We would like to welcome Greenleaf Condominium Association & Eagle Trace Condominiums which have joined our Family of Managed Properties. We look forward to working with these communities for many years to come.

MRH Enterprise Will not be acknowledging the 1” of snow forecasted for today!
After two days of preparation and anxiety for the “Storm of the Century” it is hilarious to wake up to no snow.
Should You Consider Buying Loss Assessment Coverage if Your Property is Subject to a Homeowners Association (“HOA”)?
It is becoming more common for property owners to be subject to a homeowners association (“HOA”). While HOAs have long been associated with condominium ownership, more single-family subdivisions now have HOAs. HOAs have definite benefits for property owners. They allow owners to jointly cover common expenses and add amenities for the common use of the HOA members at a much lower cost than if each member purchased the amenity or covered the expense individually.
While the benefits of HOAs are evident, one of the risks isn’t: the loss assessment risk. Within the HOA agreement, the HOA very likely has the right to levy a “loss assessment” against all HOA members as a result of a covered loss that is not fully covered by the HOA’s insurance and funds on hand. As an example, say an accident occurs at the HOA owned swimming pool and a judgment is entered against the HOA for $1,500,000. Assume the HOA’s liability coverage is $1,000,000 and there are no HOA operating funds available to pay the loss. Further assume there are ten members in the HOA. How will the remaining $500,000 be paid to satisfy the judgment? The HOA will assess each member $50,000 (their share of the loss). Loss assessment coverage would pay the assessment up to the policy limit. Therefore, if your loss assessment coverage limit is $50,000, the coverage would pay the assessment and the HOA member would not owe any additional funds.
When considering this coverage, be aware that it has limitations. Most loss assessment coverage is triggered only when the loss would have been covered by the HOA policy’s terms and conditions but there were insufficient policy limits. The loss assessment coverage will not provide any benefit if the loss is not covered or is excluded under the HOA’s policy, the HOA policy provided only defense costs but no indemnity coverage, or if the HOA’s policy has lapsed.
What should the prudent HOA member do? First, make sure you understand the risk exposure you have as a member of the HOA. If changes should be made, suggest them to the HOA board. Second, if you perceive that you still have some risk of a loss assessment, talk with an insurance professional about the appropriate amount of loss assessment coverage you should have. Remember, this coverage is very inexpensive and can protect you from a large financial loss when you perhaps could least afford it.
