California or Texas? 👀

There’s no “perfect” place to buy real estate.

There’s only the place that makes the most sense for your goals, your family, your career, and the life you’re trying to build.

I spent nearly a decade in the Navy, and one thing I’ve learned is that veterans have something incredibly powerful available to us:

Options.

Maybe that means using your VA benefits to buy in San Diego or Los Angeles.

Maybe that means moving to Texas where your money may go further and there’s no state individual income tax.

Or maybe the goal isn’t just buying a house at all.

Maybe it’s learning how to use real estate, equity, investing, leverage, and your VA benefits to start building actual wealth.

That’s a big reason I created my mastermind.

I want veterans to stop looking at the VA loan as simply a way to buy a house and start understanding how the benefits they earned can become part of a much bigger financial strategy.

I went from struggling financially and trying to figure everything out myself to building a career in real estate and leading a team of 90+ agents.

Now I want to help other veterans shorten that learning curve.

SoCal or Texas—which one are you choosing?

And if you’re a veteran who wants to learn how to turn your VA benefits and real estate into a blueprint for long-term wealth, DM me!

1. Don’t automatically rent just because you’re new here.

Southern California is expensive either way. If you’re going to be here for a few years, at least run the numbers on owning before you spend $3K+ every month paying somebody else’s mortgage.

2. If you’re military, learn your VA home loan BEFORE you PCS.

You potentially have one of the most powerful home-buying benefits available to you. Don’t wait until you’re already here to figure out how it works.

3. Your first house doesn’t need to be your dream house.

Buy something that makes financial sense. House hack it. Rent out a room. Get roommates. Your first property should help you build wealth, not impress Instagram.

4. LA and San Diego aren’t one market.

Drive 20–30 minutes and the price, neighborhood, schools, commute and type of property you can afford can completely change.

5. Your commute matters WAY more than you think.

A house that looks like a deal isn’t a deal when you’re spending three hours of your life in traffic every day.

6. Don’t wait for the “perfect market.”

People have been telling me Southern California is too expensive and the market is about to crash for years. Make decisions based on YOUR finances and YOUR timeline, not somebody’s prediction on TikTok.

7. Find an agent who actually understands your situation.

Especially if you’re active duty or a veteran. Your VA benefits, PCS timeline and long-term plans require a different strategy than the average buyer.

And probably the biggest thing I’d tell you:

Don’t move to Southern California and only think about surviving the cost of living. Think about how you can OWN a piece of it.

You already have to live somewhere.

The question is whether that monthly payment is helping build somebody else’s wealth or potentially helping build yours.

If you’re moving to San Diego or LA and want me to help you build a game plan, shoot me a DM.

I got you covered. 🏡🇺🇸
