The Alexandria Economic Development Partnership leads efforts to grow the tax base, diversify the economy, and attract and retain businesses and organizations in Alexandria,Virginia. Founded in 1992, the Partnership joins its collaborators in defining and marketing Alexandria as a creative, diverse, knowledge-based community with a high quality of life.

Mission: The Alexandria Economic Development Partnership promotes the City of Alexandria as a premier location for businesses by capitalizing on its assets, including multiple Metro stations, historical character and riverfront location, in order to enhance the City’s tax revenue and increase employment opportunities.

Each year, the The Alexandria Chamber of Commerce recognizes 40 people under 40 for outstanding achievement in the City. This year, we are extremely proud to say that our Chief of Staff, Ryan Touhill, was chosen. We've known for years that he's exceptional, and know this couldn't have gone to someone more deserving. Congratulation, Ryan! Keep up the great work :)

Have you met Ryan Touhill, 40 Under 40 Honoree?

Ryan Touhill is a recognized local government leader with over ten years of experience driving growth in Alexandria, including as a leader on the team responsible for winning the Amazon HQ2 bid and securing the Virginia Tech Innovation Campus. He is currently the Chief of Staff at the Alexandria Economic Development Partnership and previously held positions with the AlexandriaVA.gov. Ryan is a Political Fellow with The Sorensen Institute for Political Leadership and a graduate of The George Washington University and George Mason University. Ryan has served on the Alexandria/Arlington Regional Workforce Council, the Alexandria City Public Schools’s Health Sciences Academy Advisory Board, and is the incoming chair of Rebuilding Together DC • Alexandria. Ryan lives in Alexandria and completed a 50-mile ultramarathon.

Lost Boy Cider awarded state grant; pledges to invest more than $668,000 in its business

Yesterday, we were excited to welcome the Governor of Virginia's Secretary of Agriculture and Forestry, Bettina Ring and the team from Virginia Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services to make a big announcement- with support from their grant program, and a matching grant from AlexandriaVA.gov & AEDP's Investment Fund, Lost Boy Cider will become the City’s first Virginia Farm Winery-licensed production facility!
