No single instrument gets to decide your wall is wet. Every one of them has a blind spot:

🌡️ Thermal sees temperature, not water. A cool stripe on the screen suggests moisture, but a draft, an uninsulated stud bay or a shadow can paint the exact same picture.

📡 Pinless meters read relative wetness through the surface. They’re fast and leave no marks, but metal behind the wall, nail plates and density changes can all push the reading up.

📍 Pin meters measure conductance in the material itself. They’re the closest thing to ground truth, but only at the exact spot where the pins go in.
