Happy birthday to Linda who you will meet at the front desk, anytime you visit our office 🙂
Whether you are looking for professional property management or a place to rent on Oahu, we are the company for you. We do not do real estate sales, but rather, we focus 100% on residential property management. Locally run, we are a family and Christian owned and operated business. Cornerstone Properties, LLC has been in existence since 1996. With five full-time property managers, backed by a team of seven including accounting, marketing, and administrative assistants, the Cornerstone Properties staff is able to take personal care of your property. We view our owners as our clients, but are also fair to our tenants. As a member of the National Association of Residential Property Managers (NARPM), we are well versed on the current laws and market trends, as well as other areas of expertise. We attend monthly meetings to learn more about areas such as asbestos abatement, pest treatment, flooding, etc. We are also held to a higher ethical standard. To learn more about NARPM, please visit http://www.narpm.org/. #BUSTED: The PetScreening(.com) legal review team has discovered yet another fake accommodation request. This time it’s a fake letter with a logo that does not belong to the third-party verifier’s office. The Requester (the individual submitting the accommodation request) is not a patient, either, but is a former employee at a separate facility who was let go. The medical Doctor’s signature is also forged. The third-party verifier now has an obvious and legitimate concern that the Requester might have used additional fake letters in other ways. They have requested that we remain available to talk to their company’s legal counsel. The dog poop is about to hit the fan. #Busted #FakeLetter #PetScreening #ShareIfYouUsePetScreening

In preparation of Hurricane Lane, our office will be closed at 3pm, Thursday, August 23rd and all day Friday, August 24th. We anticipate resuming normal business hours on Monday, August 27th (subject to change based on how the hurricane pans out this weekend).
With the hurricane season in effect, you must take reasonable precautions in preparation such as securing/bringing in loose items on the exterior of the property, take down tarps and tents, and keeping all windows and doors closed to prevent possible flooding (DO NOT TAPE YOUR WINDOWS). You may be responsible for any damages your personal items cause to the property and/or to other people and their property.
Please be advised that any damages caused to your personal belongings is not the responsibility of Cornerstone Properties, nor is it covered by the homeowner’s insurance. Damages to your personal belongings will only be covered by your personal renter’s insurance policy. It’s always a good idea to take pictures of everything prior to the storm/hurricane hitting, for insurance purposes – In the event there are damages caused by the storm/hurricane.
Please view the attached HIEMA Fact Sheet and the HIEMA Prepare Brochure provided by Hawai’i Emergency Management Agency (State Civil Defense). For more information, you may visit their website at http://dod.hawaii.gov/hiema/.
If any damages or flooding occurs, please call or text our emergency line at (808) 561-2537. In this slow renters market, you need to spruce up your property to make it stand out among the rest.
Tips on getting your property rented sooner:
1) Paint! Freshly painted walls always make a great first impression.
2) Updated hardware! Simple updates like changing the knobs on your cabinets to a contemporary brushed nickel are a great, cheap way to wow your potential tenants.
3) Update the lighting! Those big circle bulbs are reminiscent of the 80’s... why not upgrade something more sleek and modern? For only a couple hundred in each bathroom, you can make your entire home look upgraded.
4) Ceiling fans! Please update your ceiling fans if they are old, white, and drooping! For only a couple hundred dollars you can have an electrician install a brand new ceiling fan with a remote for easy usage for the tenant. Even if you have AC, it’s best to provide the cheaper energy efficient option of using a ceiling fan. If you don’t already have one in your room, please consider adding one with a remote and a light. It’s a major plus!
5) Bathroom hardware upgrade! Do you have those bulky, edgy, old towel bars in your bathroom? These are original and remind us all of the 70’s... pick our your favorite brushed nickel towel bars, toilet paper holders and hooks to provide a cheap upgrade to all your bathrooms.
Follow these simple cost efficient tips, and see your property rent much faster than your competition!
While it’s been quite chilly here in Hawaii, we’re wishing all of our clients and friends and family out on the East Coast safety during these snow storms!! 🌨

Thank you to everyone who donated toward our school supply drive this year! Almost $1000 worth of supplies will go to students and families who really need them! Our local school is Alva Scott Elementary school - this is something we do every year, so if you come across supplies you'd like to donate, please drop them off to us at anytime throughout the year and we'll save it for our drive 🙂
Today we held our company's annual Fun and Training Day! We had started the morning at Zippys learning about finances, then off to the train starting in Kapolei - all the way to Koolina where we had lunch at Monkeypod and had a touch up on fair housing with one of our local HUD workers. Then we headed to Wahiawa to the Dole Plantation to take the train ride there, then to Haleiwa to have some shave ice! A very successful and fun day of learning and team building. Thank you Carl (our boss) for planning it all!
We will be closed on Tuesday in observance of Independence Day
