PT: Rua a rua, Cascais. Esta semana, a Avenida Emídio Navarro. Nos anos 1920, Raul Lino projectou aqui três casas, com alguns dos traços que definem a sua arquitectura: alpendres, beirais, arcarias e muros caiados. A avenida ficou assim ligada à Cascais de veraneio que, no início do século XX, mudou a vila. Hoje continua à sombra das árvores, a poucos passos do centro.
EN: Street by street, Cascais. This week, Avenida Emídio Navarro. In the 1920s, Raul Lino designed three houses here, with some of the features that define his architecture: porches, eaves, arcades and whitewashed walls. The avenue became part of the summer-resort Cascais that transformed the town in the early twentieth century. Today it still sits in the shade of its trees, a few steps from the centre.
