🏠WAIHEKE RENTAL MARKET UPDATE
The latest rental market statistics from Tenancy Services have just been released, covering 1 March – 31 August 2026, based on bonds lodged during this period.
We’ve had a particularly busy winter this year, and this is reflected in the latest figures, with only 7 suburb and bedroom categories showing as N/A due to insufficient data.
Why N/A? This occurs when fewer than five properties of a particular bedroom type have been rented in a suburb, with bonds lodged with the Bond Centre during the reporting period.
📈 In most cases, rents have increased since the previous release.
Surfdale currently has the highest reported rental figure, with 4-bedroom properties showing a median rent of $1,125 per week.
As we head towards summer, fewer properties may be available for long-term rent, while tenant demand can increase. This can put upward pressure on asking rents, depending on the property and current market conditions.
