Well, what a couple of months it’s been. Ching Contracting is still making really good progress with the earthworks and civil works.
While one crew was completing the last of the work prior to Stage 11 road being asphalted, another team spent about 5 weeks reconstructing the hillside on the eastern flank. Lots of ground being dug out, another slip was removed and reconstructed along with a bloody great big shear key installed.
On top of that drainage galore to ensure absolutely no future ground movement. In fact the ground up around the top right section is now so hard we can’t drill holes for the retaining wall posts, so a trench will be dug to place the posts and fill with concrete.
A few photos from the drone showing a bit more progress. Come up for a drive and wander around and don’t forget to drop in to the Sprig & Fern for a nice cold one, or Marsden cafe, pod that suits better. Two great places to enjoy mixing with the ever growing community locally.

Isn’t it amazing the difference a week makes. The week just gone was mostly a complete wash out, but the week before was a cracker.
We’re putting pipes in the ground you could walk up inside, to ensure all stormwater is properly collected and distributed. We’re building steps you can run up, these being the first of many. All you fitness fanatics will love those. All the way from Homestead Ave to the top of the subdivision, on a he eastern slope.

There’s green gravel going in, commonly referred to as AP40, along with two very large precast sumps, that cost more than a Tesla. Ching Contracting did manage though this week, to get the power and telecommunications lines all run for Stage 11 sections, in between rain showers or should that be torrents.

We are still on track to title stage 11 sections by late November. Also a big call out to Ben Max Contracting for working through the rain this last week to complete more retaining walls. Well done lads.

Lastly, we are also looking at facilitating Turnkey Packages, so all you have to do is choose a section, get your plan and pricing agreed with either, GJ Gardner Homes, Milestone Homes or Jennian Homes, pay your deposit, then pay nothing until you are ready to move in. So, not only will you get to live in one of the nicest locations, handy to both Nelson and Richmond, you’ll get a great deal making home ownership in the Marsden Park Subdivision easy and stress free.
