With a pizza oven, fire pit, and exquisite views across the Tawharanui Coast, it's a space made for long lunches that turn into evenings around the fire.

Introducing Bluestone Encampment.

A little closer to nature, without compromising on comfort.

Stay beneath the trees in our beautifully appointed safari tents or architecturally designed cabins. Think slow mornings, afternoons by the pool and evenings around the fire, with nowhere else you need to be.

Each residence has its own bathroom and kitchen or kitchenette, with the pool and laundry shared when booked individually. For complete privacy, book Bluestone Encampment on a sole occupancy basis and enjoy the entire property and its facilities to yourselves.

We loved receiving these words from a recent honeymoon couple who chose the Boathouse for their time away together.

Private mornings overlooking the landscape, evenings by the fire, a soak in the hot tub and nowhere they needed to be. With Matakana close by when they felt like venturing out, and plenty of reasons to simply stay in.

From the moment you arrive, there’s a feeling that this is exactly where you’re meant to be.

Perhaps it’s the privacy, the space or simply knowing that, for the next few days, the Estate is entirely yours to settle into and enjoy as you please.

It’s easy to settle into life at Bluestone Estate. The harder part is leaving.

The Farmhouse and Main House may be separate spaces, but the landscape was designed to make them feel like part of the same story.

The olive trees surrounding the Farmhouse mirror the established trees at the Main House, creating a subtle sense of continuity as you move through Bluestone's 15 acres.

It's an intentional detail that brings cohesion to the Estate, while allowing each space to retain its unique character.

Designed by Will from Biome, the landscape is as considered as every part of Bluestone.

You don’t have to go far to experience some of the best of the Matakana Coast.

Within 15 minutes, you can be on the fairways at Omaha, discovering a local cellar door, walking the white sands of Tāwharanui or picking up fresh coffee and pastries for a slow morning back at the Matakana Village.

Everything is within easy reach, yet back at Bluestone Estate, the outside world feels a long way away.

The Farmhouse was made for getting a group of friends together and disappearing for a while. Slow mornings overlooking the coast with a coffee and afternoons by the pool with a glass of house.
