Today’s viewing: Duinoord, The Hague!! 🏡

A beautiful home in a lovely neighbourhood! Just 10–15 minutes by bike to the heart of The Hague, and around 10 minutes to Scheveningen beach. 🌊🚲🏙️

Morning coffee in the city, afternoon at the beach…😃😍

Another DAFT visa client settled in Den Haag! 🇳🇱

Ended my week last Friday on a high note! I had the pleasure of handing over the keys to Caryn!

Relocating to the Netherlands under the DAFT treaty is exciting, but finding a home from abroad can be one of the biggest challenges.

From understanding the Dutch rental market and preparing the right documentation, to finding a landlord willing to work with an international/DAFT profile…there are a lot of moving pieces!

And then finally comes that “WE DID IT!” moment. 🏡😁❤️

Welcome home! 🏡

🏡 A special family, a new home, and a very happy check-in day! ❤️

Today I had the pleasure of handing over the keys to Mindi, Joaquin and Jaxon in Sliedrecht! 🤗

I absolutely loved working with this family, and seeing them finally receive the keys to their new home made me so happy ❤️

Wishing Mindi, Joaquin and Jaxon all the happiness in their new home and many beautiful memories to come. You deserve it! 🏡

And of course, a big shout-out to Chris O'Connell for the transportation, the laughs and making the day even more enjoyable! 🚗 Always a pleasure to see you!!

After helping expats from all over the world find their rental homes in the Netherlands, these are some of the things I wish every newcomer knew:

🏡 Good rentals move FAST - Apply for a viewing within 3 to 6 hours after listing goes online!

🏡 Have your documents ready before you start searching!

🏡 A strong introduction can make a difference - photos of your family and your pets, telling a story with your letter!

🏡 Flexibility on different areas can open up more options.

🏡 Having someone represent you locally can make the process much easier.

🏡 Start your search at the right time: 8-12 weeks before your intended move!

🏡 Your first home in the Netherlands might not be your perfect home, but it can be the right home for that moment. Sometimes the first step is simply finding a safe, comfortable place to land. You can always find your “perfect” home later.

A little Monday magic in Rotterdam. ☀️🏙️

My week started with a property viewing in one of the Netherlands’ most dynamic cities, surrounded by water, architecture and that unmistakable Rotterdam energy. 😍

Every viewing is another opportunity to help my clients navigate the Dutch rental market and get one step closer to finding a place they can truly call home 🏡

A new home in Dordrecht for Cris & Sarah! 🥳🥳

From the very beginning, they were incredibly patient, friendly and trusting throughout the search. The Dutch rental market can be challenging, but they approached every step with such a positive attitude and never gave up.

And then… we found their home in Dordrecht! 🏡🥳👏🏻

Cris & Sarah, thank you for trusting me with such an important part of your move to the Netherlands. I’m so happy to see you settled into your new home! 🩵

Some clients make the journey extra special. 🤍

Finding a home in the current Dutch housing market isn’t always easy, but with the right strategy, persistence and a positive mindset, the right place is out there. 🏡

To be called a “miracle worker” is pretty special… but knowing my clients feel supported, understood and confident throughout the journey means even more. 👏🏻🏡🩵

Thank you, Rachael, for these beautiful words and for trusting me with the housing part of your Netherlands journey. 🗝️🏡
