One month to 10 years.

What started with spaces has grown into something bigger, shaping places, developing people, and asking what the next decade of African design and luxury can look like.

November 1 marks 10 years of Five28.

But before we get there, there’s a lot to look back on.

And even more to look forward to.

FALL2026.

We spend so much time looking at what sits inside a room that we forget to look at what holds it together.

A ceiling can shape the light, alter the sense of scale, direct movement and quietly define how a space feels.

It isn’t just a surface overhead. It’s part of the experience.

Sometimes, the most considered detail in a room is the one you only notice when someone asks you to look up.

Before the finishes, before the furniture, before the details, there was a space that needed to become more.

Project RW was designed to do more than look good. It had to support focused work, meetings, conversations, content creation and everything in between.

From the layout and lighting to the furniture and finer details, every decision was made around how the space would actually be used.

What started as an empty room is now a workspace, meeting point, and podcast and content space, one environment, designed to do more.
