Welcome to another episode of Real Talk Series with Grace-Divine Ozavize, your Real Wealth Strategist.
Tonight, we are having a conversation that every aspiring property owner, real estate investor and Lagos resident needs to hear.
Our topic is:
"THE COST OF WAITING: AJAH WAS TOO FAR THEN. CAN YOU AFFORD IT NOW?"
Let me begin with a question.
If somebody had offered you an opportunity to buy a piece of land in an area that you considered too far from your workplace 20 years ago, would you have considered it?
Or would you have said, "No, I cannot live there. It is too far. I work on the Island. Let me rent somewhere closer to work"?
Many people make property decisions based on their immediate circumstances. They consider the distance to work, transport costs, the condition of the roads and the convenience of living in an established neighbourhood.
Those are legitimate concerns.
But there is another question we must ask ourselves.
While you are considering today's convenience, are you also considering tomorrow's affordability?
Today, I want us to examine what has happened along the Ajah–Sangotedo corridor, look at actual property-market figures, and discuss what the experience can teach us about making informed real estate decisions.
Please stay with me, because this conversation is not about telling everybody to buy land.
