Today, Wednesday, 7th October 2026, Hon. Chibueze Oforbuike (Ezeakunne) gathered with family, friends, colleagues, and well-wishers at St. Joseph’s Catholic Diocese, Ekwulobia, for a special Thanksgiving Mass in appreciation of his years of service as Mayor of Aguata.
It was a beautiful occasion filled with gratitude to God, celebration, fellowship, and appreciation as people from different walks of life came from far and near to rejoice with him on this special day.
Among those present were Hon. Kingsley Ezeagu (Ichie Obiokpala III), the current Mayor of Aguata; Engr. Emmanuel Chukwukadibia Onyeneke (Ezejiofor II of Ekwulobia); Chief Dr. Azubuike Ezechukwu (Uzommiri Ebetehete); and Comrade Chigozie Kingsley Anyaora, Youth President of Ekwulobia, alongside their respective executives.
The gathering also attracted other distinguished personalities, community leaders, traditional rulers, political office holders, friends, associates, and dignitaries from the towns, local governments, state, and federal levels, many of whom travelled from far and near to celebrate and share in the joy of the occasion.
The Thanksgiving was a wonderful opportunity to give God all the glory for the journey so far, appreciate the privilege of service, and celebrate the relationships built throughout the years.
