Don’t kill for APC candidate: Most of them are not electable.
Hon. Chris Onyekachi Simon, Chairman of Igbo-Eze North, congratulations once again.
Be measured in interpreting the applause around you. Some of the same voices celebrating you today helped discredit the previous administration. If the approach to leadership remains unchanged, public rejection may follow the same path.
Coming from business, you understand that attractive packaging does not guarantee a genuine product. Apply that discernment to the loyalty being presented to you.
As you promote your “APC top to bottom” message, remember that you serve citizens across all political parties. Protect their right to choose. Do not allow the pursuit of approval from Governor Peter Ndubuisi Mbah to overshadow your responsibility to protect everyone from intimidation, disenfranchisement and violence.
In my assessment, the Governor has performed well. Let his record make the case for his reelection through a peaceful, credible process.
The same democratic freedom must extend to Chinedu Eya’s candidacy for Igbo-Eze North/Udenu Federal Constituency. His aspiration is grounded in faith, service and the conviction that he can contribute meaningfully to the lives of the people.
Chinedu Eya brings experience in building businesses, creating employment, managing resources and turning ideas into practical opportunities. He is ready to bring that experience to the Green Chamber through diligent lawmaking, responsible oversight and determined advocacy for infrastructure, enterprise and human development.
His readiness deserves scrutiny, his capacity deserves consideration and his supporters deserve respect. He can present a capable alternative to the incumbent while respecting every other contestant. His campaign will continue to make its case through ideas, character and service.
Mr Chairman, your own emergence should strengthen your commitment to protecting the aspirations of others. Let every candidate compete freely, and let the people’s choice prevail.
No ambition, party loyalty or political approval is worth a human life. Today’s applause will fade, but the consequences of leadership will remain. The harm leaders permit can outlive their tenure. Let yours be remembered for fairness, inclusion and peace.
