This convocation is more than a ceremony. It represents years of sacrifice, discipline, and difficult choices. Late nights research. Early mornings on the road to Keffi, sometimes running on little or no rest. Missed business opportunities because lectures came first. Skipped meals that took a toll on my health and landed me in the hospital more than once. Managing limited resources meant denying my family many comforts, not because they didn’t deserve them, but because this journey demanded focus and restraint.
Through it all, my wife stood strong with understanding, patience, and quiet sacrifice of her own. Thank you for carrying this journey with me. To my children, thank you for enduring my absence when books and classes took priority. To my parents, siblings, friends, colleagues, and everyone who encouraged me, supported me, and believed in me, I am deeply grateful.
I began this PhD with a clear conviction. I asked someone who had gone before me and was told it could be completed in three years. I committed to that timeline, and today, by discipline and grace, I stand here having completed my PhD in Financial Management in exactly three years.
This is not just a personal win. It is a shared victory. Onward, with responsibility.
