A university experience is shaped as much by where students live as where they learn.

Launched today by Prime Minister YAB Dato’ Seri Anwar Ibrahim, Residensi Siswa Universiti Malaya will expand access to quality student accommodation while creating spaces for students to connect, build friendships and grow throughout their university years.

At MRCB, we look forward to working with Universiti Malaya alongside our joint venture partner, Sime Darby Property Berhad, on Phase 2 of this development, which is planned to accommodate 30,000 students.

Together with Phase 1, to be delivered by PBLT Sdn. Bhd. for 10,000 students and expected to be completed in 2030, Residensi Siswa UM is planned to provide accommodation for up to 40,000 students.

Aligned with the UM Transformation Plan 2050, the development brings together accommodation, wellbeing and community life as part of a more integrated campus environment.

Together with UM and Sime Darby Property, we hope to help create a place where students feel supported, form lasting connections and make the most of their university years.

MRCB was recognised among the Top 10 recipients of the Top-of-the-Chart Award at the Malaysia Developer Awards 2026, for listed property developers with a market capitalisation of RM1 billion and above.

The award considers more than financial results. Half of the assessment covers revenue and profit growth, financial stability and sustainability, while the other half evaluates ESG initiatives, placemaking *ingenuity* and digital innovation.

This recognition reflects the progress we continue to make—strengthening the business while delivering developments responsibly and with a clear focus on long-term value.

Our thanks to FIABCI Malaysia and Star Media Group Berhad for the recognition, and to our customers, partners and Team MRCB for their continued trust and contribution.

Less on-site. Less waste.

At Tujuh Residences, we’re building differently with our proprietary MRCB Building System (MBS).

By moving much of the building process into a controlled off-site environment, MBS allows for more efficient use of materials, less activity on site and a more efficient way to build.

Up to 90% of construction work can be completed off-site, with construction up to 50% faster.
A sustainable approach to construction.

Sustainability works best when everyone has a part to play.

That spirit came through at MRCB Sustainability Day 2026, with colleagues across different roles and functions coming together in person, while our project teams joined virtually from sites across the country.

Through real-life scenarios, team challenges and a little friendly competition, we explored how sustainability connects to the work we do — turning conversations into practical ideas and solutions.

Our guest speaker, Sudarshan Chandra Sekharan from the UN Global Compact Network Malaysia & Brunei, and our Chief Corporate Officer, Amarjit Chhina, also brought a personal perspective, sharing how everyday values and habits can shape greater sustainability consciousness.

Because beyond frameworks and commitments, sustainability is also about people — understanding the choices we make and making them part of how we work every day.

A significant milestone for MRCB. 🇲🇾🇸🇦

MRCB has signed a Collaboration Agreement with RUA AlHaram AlMakki Company, a PIF company, to explore an integrated transit-oriented mixed-use development at King Salman Gate in Makkah.

The exchange was witnessed by our Honourable Prime Minister, YAB Dato’ Seri Anwar Ibrahim, and HE Yasir Al-Rumayyan, Governor of PIF.

Bringing together RUA’s vision and MRCB’s decades of TOD expertise, the collaboration opens an opportunity for Malaysian expertise and capabilities to contribute to Saudi Arabia’s ambitious development agenda.

It is with deep sadness that we mourn the passing of Yang Amat Berbahagia Tun Dr. Hasmah Mohd Ali, who passed away on 28 September 2026 at the age of 100.

Her lifelong service, grace and commitment to the people of Malaysia will remain an enduring part of the nation’s history and will be deeply remembered by all who knew her.

Our thoughts and prayers are with Tun Dr. Mahathir Mohamad, her children, grandchildren and the entire family during this time of profound loss.

Sustainability is built into how we work.

Across our projects, we continue to innovate and apply new ways to build - by using construction methods that reduce waste, energy use and carbon emissions, reusing materials, strengthening protection for communities, and supporting more sustainable public transport.

Different projects. Different solutions. One shared approach — building sustainability into what we do.

“We are all Malaysians. This is the bond that unites us. Let us always remember that unity is our fundamental strength as a people and as a nation.” - Tunku Abdul Rahman Putra Al-Haj

His words remain as meaningful today as ever.

As Malaysia continues to grow, may we grow together as fellow Malaysians, embracing our diversity, respecting our differences and holding close the unity that has always been our strength. Beyond everything we build and achieve, Malaysia’s greatest strength will always be its Rakyat. Let us always grow and evolve, together.

Selamat Hari Kebangsaan!
