🚨 BIG SUPREME COURT UPDATE FOR JUDICIARY ASPIRANTS
The rules regarding prior practice for appointment as Civil Judge (Junior Division) have undergone an important change.
The Supreme Court has modified the manner in which the earlier 3-year practice requirement will operate.
📌 Up to 31 March 2027: All law graduates can apply under the transitional arrangement.
📌 From 1 April 2027: Minimum 1 year actual practice will be required before appearing for the Civil Judge examination.
After selection, candidates will undergo structured Judicial Academy Training + Law Clerkship before regular judicial posting.
⚠️ Important: Saying that the Supreme Court has simply “abolished the 3-year practice rule” would be misleading. The Court has modified the manner of its implementation.
Case: Bhumika Trust v. Union of India & Ors.
