We love Athens all year long (obviously!) but...
..there's something about November that feels like a secret.

The Acropolis has no queue. The tavernas in Petralona put the chairs back in the sun, not under it. At around 6 PM, the whole city turns gold for twenty minutes, and even the locals stop to watch.

Summer Athens is beautiful. November Athens is honest.

This view is a short walk from our Petralona homes. If you've been waiting for the "right time" to come, this might be it.

Around 60 days remain in 2026. We'd like to suggest a way to spend a few of them.

November and December are when Athens quietly goes back to the Athenians. The summer crowds go home, the light turns gold earlier, and the city gets ready for Christmas in its own unhurried way. The marathon runs into the marble stadium. Syntagma lights its tree. On Christmas Eve, children sing the kalanta at the door. And the year ends beneath the Acropolis.

We've lived all of it for more than ten years, and we'll gladly share the good bits. Plaka, Psiri, Pangrati and Petralona, with some whole buildings for groups of up to 16.
