I supplied and fitted some warning signs today.

My local Parish Council asked for these as part of a health and safety review in our local community plantation (woods)

They are made of ACM (aluminium composite material) they are super durable, strong and will last many years to come.

Garage gym flooring.

In advance of a replacement roller garage door being fitted on Monday, the client asked for some strong help 💪🏼

Between us we removed the existing carpet tile floor, swept and vacuumed the floor & removed the cobwebs.

Once I removed the washer & dryer it was obvious the smell issue the client could smell was due to the washer waste not having a trap/U-bend.

A replacement appliance waste was fitted then it was on with installing the protective rubber floor.

The flooring was cut to fit the shape of the garage and joined (temporary tape in place until the glue dries!)

Once the garage door is replaced I’ll trim the flooring to fit.

Sports pavilion gutter repairs.

While the local kids are out getting their daily sporting activity, it seems they have broken the gutter brackets while kicking the football over the roof.

So, 7 new brackets, 1 running joint replaced and the leaves and moss was removed at the same time.

Replacement side entry gate.

The old gate and wall plates had seen better days, so time for an update.

All the new timbers are pressure treated. Secured to the walls with 120mm concrete fixings. Powder coated gate furniture and a lockable from both sides lock with five keys 🔑. Post caps added for a bit of detail to the wall plates.

Helping out for one of my local Scout groups.

They had some movement in their wooden flooring so it was time to give it the SPS treatment. 🪚📐🛠️

Boards lifted, joists packed with slate to stop the bounce. The second section, the boards were lifted, additional bracing added below then replaced the boards.

Also, removed a door and trimmed the bottom as it was catching on the floor.

A bit of preparation in advance of solar panel fitting and battery storage.

My local village hall is having a modern upgrade with solar and battery storage. This door was the ideal location for the batteries to be installed. So, some additional bracing timbers and 18mm ply were added then some fresh brilliant white satin paint to finish off this part of the project.

She’d roofing felt replacement.

The original felt was torched on and was a complete nightmare to remove (1st time in 19yrs I’ve had a torched on felt roof!!!)

Anyway, after a lot a swearing and hard graft it was removed.

New 15yr felt and new fascia boards fitted at both ends (the neighbours also see the back side
Of the shed!) 😉

This one definitely had its challenges with access and space for a fat bloke to squeeze into 🫣🤷🏽

A busy few days with prep and paint at my local village hall.

The fascias were desperately in need of some TLC.

Preparation, sanding, filling, more sanding and some fresh satin black paint to the fascias. The same process was undertaken for the double entry doors with primrose off white to the door frame and Chartwell green to the double doors.

The double entry gates also had a freshen up with some semi gloss black paint.

A short section of rotten fascia was cut out and replaced with the guttering now reattached.
