Storm AUSTEN Update
The severe winds have arrived in Cornwall, Devon and the Channel Islands, about 10,000 without power and the severe winds are moving East - moving into Wales now with gusts of 60-70mph arriving in the next couple of hours. A dramatic arrival of the winds too because of the sharp front.
The gale force gusts will move into the rest of England on Friday but gusts will be 40-60mph, less than the South West but still enough for localised disruption and power outages.
Attention turns to Storm Boelo Saturday night that will affect the North of Britain, severe gales from the North Midlands right through to North Scotland.
