Good block management shouldn’t come with strings attached.

No minimum contract terms.
No cancellation fees.
No notice periods.
And no nasty surprises buried in the small print.

Just transparent fees, 24/7 emergency maintenance, 365 days a year, and 2% of our profits donated to charity.

Because if we’re doing a good job, we don’t think you should need a contract to make you stay.

Decent, ethical block management. No catches.

A good block manager shouldn’t be waiting for the first cold snap to find out what needs fixing.

As temperatures drop, proactive maintenance becomes even more important. Your block manager should already be looking ahead, checking the things that colder, wetter weather has a habit of exposing.

That means keeping an eye on gutters and drainage before heavy rainfall, checking roofs and external areas for potential leaks, making sure communal heating and lighting are working as they should, and identifying maintenance issues before they become bigger (and more expensive) problems.

They should also be keeping residents informed, planning necessary works early and making sure trusted contractors are ready when they’re needed.

Because good block management isn’t just about responding quickly when something goes wrong.

It’s about spotting what could go wrong in the first place.

It shouldn’t be too much to ask from your block management company, but we know that’s not always the experience leaseholders receive.

At Brompton, we keep things straightforward: clear communication, quick responses and proactive management that means you’re not constantly having to chase.

Thanks to Aideen for the lovely words and for trusting us with the management of her block.

If you’re spending more time chasing your managing agent than you should be, perhaps it’s time for a change. ↓

Two managing agents. Two sets of emails. And, all too often, one landlord stuck in the middle.

If you own a leasehold property that you rent out, having one company manage the block and another manage your individual flat can work. But when responsibilities overlap, it can quickly mean crossed wires, duplicated conversations and slower decisions.

Bringing both under one roof can make things considerably simpler:

01. One team and one point of contact
02. Faster decisions when issues cross between the flat and block
03. A smoother experience for tenants
04. Better visibility across your investment
05. Shared knowledge that can help catch problems earlier

In our latest article, we explore why a joined-up approach to block and property management can mean fewer handovers, clearer communication and less time spent playing middleman.

Most block managers tell you what your service charge will be once you’ve already signed on the dotted line.

We think that’s a little backwards.

At Brompton, we provide a draft annual service budget upfront, before you sign any contract with us. It gives you a clear estimate of what it will actually cost to run your block for the year, from maintenance and insurance to compliance and planned works.

No signing first and asking questions later. No unexpected figures appearing once you’re committed.

It might sound like a fairly obvious way to do things but in block management, it’s surprisingly rare.

We believe when it comes to your block’s money, you should know what you’re getting into before you get into it. ↓

Small blocks aren’t small business to us.

While plenty of managing agents have their sights set on the big developments, at Brompton Block Management we specialise in giving smaller blocks the attention they deserve.

We predominantly manage blocks of 3–50 flats, with a focus on clear communication, personal service and proactive management. That means staying ahead of compliance, keeping a close eye on contractors and making sure fees are always transparent. No disappearing into a portfolio of hundreds of properties. ✔️

And because good management shouldn’t come with strings attached, there are no minimum-term contracts, cancellation fees or lengthy notice periods either.

Small block specialists by choice, not by chance.

If your block could do with management that feels a little more personal, we’d love to talk. ↓

Most managing agents want you tied in. We'd rather keep you because you want to stay.

No minimum term contracts, no cancellation fees, no notice periods designed to make leaving difficult.

Just transparent fees, honest advice and proactive management from people who believe doing the right thing shouldn't be a USP... but unfortunately, it still is.

Add in 24/7 emergency maintenance, an ethical contractor charter and 2% of our profits donated to charity, and you've got block management that's built a little differently.

Because good service should be what keeps clients, not the small print.

How much are you really paying?

Some leaseholders have paid 30–60% more for buildings insurance because of hidden commissions paid to managing agents and freeholders.

The frustrating part? Many had no idea these commissions were being added to the cost.

While not every managing agent operates this way, it's a reminder of why transparency matters. You should always understand where your service charge goes, how your insurance is arranged, and whether you're getting genuine value for money.

Head to the blog to uncover the hidden costs of block management, what they could mean for your building, and the questions every leaseholder should be asking.↓

Compliance keeps your building safe. Good block management goes much further.

The best managing agents don't just tick legal boxes. They communicate clearly, plan ahead, manage service charges responsibly and give leaseholders confidence that their building is being looked after properly.

If your managing agent's biggest selling point is simply "we're compliant", it might be worth asking what else they're doing.

Head to our blog for practical insights, industry updates and straightforward advice to help you better understand block management. ↓
