🔨 Not every job is about building something new!

A slightly different project for the Tecta Build team recently.

This garden cabin had suffered significant settlement after the original ground screws began sinking into the clay soil beneath it, leaving the building out of level by 6inches in places!

Rather than replacing the cabin, we set about getting it back where it belonged!

🔹 Excavated and installed new concrete foundation pads.

🔹 Carefully jacked the cabin back up to its original level.

🔹 Built new concrete block piers to support the structure.

🔹 Dry packed between the piers and timber frame to provide solid, even support.

🔹 Checked and re-levelled the cabin throughout.

A tricky little job, especially when you’re lifting an entire building without causing damage to the structure!

Great work from the lads getting this one sorted and giving the cabin a new lease of life.

CHESSINGTON | KITCHEN & DINER KNOCK THROUGH 🏗️

A new project underway for the Tecta Build team in Chessington.

We’re opening up the rear of this property to create a larger, open-plan kitchen and dining space, making better use of the existing layout and connecting the house with the garden.

The first stages have involved removing load-bearing walls, installing structural steelwork and forming new openings across the rear of the property.

With the main structural alterations now complete, we’re moving on to the next stages of the renovation.

Looking forward to seeing how this one comes together over the next few weeks! 📐🔨

Another one wrapped up by the Tecta team 👌🏼🏠

A complete new roof finished using Marley Acme Weathered plain tiles, one of Marley’s new Heritage colours, and they really suit the character of this property.

With a roof this size and shape, the details make all the difference. Multiple hips, valleys and roof sections all coming together, finished with matching ridge and hip tiles to give it a clean, traditional look from every angle.

The drone shots really show off the amount of work that goes into a roof like this. 👌🏼

Clean lines. Crisp finishes. ⚒️📐🔨

A recently completed Wren kitchen installation by the Tecta Build team.

This one is all about the details, a modern handleless design, full-height cabinetry and a seamless waterfall-edge worktop creating a really clean, contemporary finish.

We also integrated warm LED lighting beneath the worktop and into the feature shelf, which completely changes the feel of the kitchen in the evening and highlights the simplicity of the design.

From the first stages of installation through to the finished space, a great example of how the smaller details bring the whole job together.

🌾💙 What a fantastic day at Pulborough Harvest Fair! 💙🌾

We had a brilliant time at the Harvest Fair yesterday and it was wonderful to see so many friendly faces and catch up with local residents, community groups and other organisations.

There were lots of great conversations throughout the day as we shared information about the PDCCA and the range of services we provide to support our local community. 💙

🍷💧 Our Water or W**e fundraiser was a huge success – we completely sold out before 2pm! Thank you to everyone who took part and supported us.

🎨 Face painting was also incredibly popular, with some wonderfully creative designs appearing throughout the day! We loved seeing so many happy faces.

A huge thank you to all our wonderful volunteers who gave their time, energy and enthusiasm to help make the day such a success. We couldn't do it without you. 💙

Thanks too to Josh from Tecta Build for popping by to say hello and support the PDCCA – it was lovely to see you!

It was a fantastic celebration of our local community, and we're already looking forward to the next one!

🔨 A day on the roof.

Nice little cut roof pitched and wrapped up in a day by the Tecta team.

Nothing overly complicated, just good old-fashioned roof carpentry. Getting the cuts right, keeping everything running true and seeing a pile of timber turn into a roof by the end of the day.

These are the jobs we love. 👌

🚧 Project Start | Banstead 📍

Another exciting project is officially underway in Banstead.

This property is being transformed with a new extension alongside a full downstairs renovation, creating a modern, open-plan living space while adding valuable extra room for our client.

Before any major works begin, we make sure the site is set up properly. We’re also rolling out our new HazardCo UK site safety system, helping us maintain the highest standards of health, safety and organisation on every project. From clear site documentation and emergency procedures to daily compliance, it’s all part of delivering a professional service from day one.

At Tecta Build, we believe the quality of a project starts long before the first timber is installed.

Another quality outdoor space completed by the team at Tecta Build Ltd.

This stunning new patio has been laid using Mint Sandstone, finished with a double Autumn Brown cobble border to create a timeless, high-end finish that complements the property beautifully.

Every detail matters—from the layout and cutting to the crisp border and clean lines. It’s these finishing touches that make all the difference. 🔨📐👑
